Your memory is fuzzy. I know the EO is the default with Obama, but not in this case.

Obama signed a bill[H.R. 6620 (112th): Former Presidents Protection Act of 2012] put forth by the vaunted Trey Gowdy to provide lifetime protection for Presidents again.

Ok...a bill instead of an EO.

Regardless, my opinion hasn’t changed on it. It is a waste of money to spend the resources for any President’s entire lifetime.
