EXCLUSIVE-MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AI

Full Title: EXCLUSIVE — MICHELLE MALKIN: SCOTT WALKER DESERVES TO BE VETTED, ‘PROBLEMS’ MUCH BIGGER THAN OUSTED PRO-AMNESTY AIDE

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.

“Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email.

What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.

He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. He’s been left, right, center, and all over the map.

She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

“The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to ‘rescue’ the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools,” Malkin said. “They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging ‘experts’ and ‘communicators’ DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.”

Well, Walker doesn’t roll over. I read his book “Unintimidated”. He put up with threats to his family, demonstrations at his home, etc. and never gave in. I want him in Washington to show how it gets done.

Malkin has people she trusts put in place there.

We all can ‘t be everywhere at once.

Aren’t there people in your life you trust to tell you the truth without actually being in the siituation or physically present

I don't support Boehner/McConnell, and that's not germane to the discussion at hand.

It absolutely is germane! Boehner and McConnell are examples of what happens when republicans are elected without consideration or their actions. Every election people here are harangued to not consider past actions and positions of Republican candidates.

Walker has came out strongly for border security and against amnesty. Sounds to me like he listened to the base and made a note of it. How is that a credibility issue?

It is a good thing that he has changed his position. However, it is questionable that it happened when he decided to run for president. How is it that he was on the wrong side of this very high profile national issue until now?

Do we just take his word for it that he is on the right side of the issue? People are willing to do that, but then he hires this person.

Her official position was coordinating his online communications outreach. Do you have any proof that her pro-amnesty beliefs factored into Walker's decision of hiring her?

What proof do we have that her beliefs did NOT factor into Walker's decision. After all he used to have the same view on this particular issue. In this age, online communication staffer is a very key position, not a minor role.

If Walker changes his tune or doesn't deliver on his pledge, he won't be supported. It's as simple as that.

We can only analyze and go with what we see now. By the time he is elected to office, it is too late to "not be supported". If he becomes president, and he is still an amnesty guy, do you think he will stop because a bunch of conservatives stop supporting him? No! He will just join up with Boehner and McConnell to do what he pleases.

Find the candidate that's the next Reagan, or else I'm staying home.

Just because we cannot get a Reagan does not mean we go with a Romney. Walker is not Romney, but that does not mean he should not be vetted and the best candidate in the pool selected.

If Walker comes out clearly, concisely and repeatedly in opposition to immigrating my homeland into a third-world cesspool, then he may get my vote.

He hasn't done so yet. So he remains ineligible for my vote.

His state voted for Obama and Walker. No thanks.

We have to question the inner politics of a small state that votes for zero twice and Walker three times. Odd math, unless there’s something that hasn’t surfaced.

Walker has been vetted 3 times in four years by National Teachers Union and Afl-Cio.

Save your energy for positive endeavors! The democrats are already hard at work of exposing EVERY little problem with every republican candidate. You do not need to help them!

Right. Just remember friend, emotions are not the same as psychology, which is the most powerful weapon in politics.

I will “help them” or “not help” them as I see fit. You do whatever feels right to you. Deal?

When I wrote that she hadn’t “been” here, it was a figure of speech. I really mean that it is obvious that she hasn’t been following all of the good he has done (you can do that online) and doesn’t know all of the good people who think the world of Scott Walker. Scott is as dependable as the day is long. He’s as conservative as you will get. He’s super smart and super nice. He’s as pro-life as Santorum.

I’m not saying that he’d be the best candidate for President, but he’s as good as anyone out there; and he doesn’t have many of the faults that some of the others do.

My main reservation is that I want him to remain Governor here. But, I’d willingly share him with the rest of the nation if that is the consensus. But “more vetting”? This is a man who has been “vetted” by the electorate 3 times in 4 years.

Good article...a lot of info, at link.

Good to see Michelle Malkin still has her great knack of getting points across.

I will try my best to stay positive on candidates which I like AT THIS TIME. That includes Walker, Cruz, Kasich, & Jindal so far. You can do whatever makes you happy.
