“Empire” star Terrence Howard has strong opinions about the use of the N-word on their hit Fox TV show.

Though the actor differs from costar Taraji P. Henson, who said earlier today she’s against the use of the word, Howard thinks it’s time to get real. The Oscar nominee wants to drop the stigma surrounding the word which he believes would make the Lee Daniels hip-hop drama feel more authentic.

The only way out would be a mis-diagnosis.

Cool on post 21....sometimes I wonder. lol.

I thought of misdiagnosis but then I thought that would be a cheap way of getting out of it. I am torn between finding out he doesn’t have it and actually going through the process of ALS which happens in real life even if inconvenient.

Is that Terrance Howard any better than he was in “Iron Man”? It was a pretty good movie, but he really stunk in it.

Yes he was in Ironman and obviously not his best work.....Empire is his best work in my opinion.

Don’t get me wrong I was not knocking ya, and I agree if that’s what floats your boat have at it, as for me I think I will pass, I could watch a Tyler Perry movie, or something of the like, but this right now I do not care so much for the ghetto culture, I do not like to see it in person, and I do not care to see it on tv, and yeah I am a certain skin color, just my opinion.

whay dont they simply upgrade the dialog entirely?

Because then only inner city black folk could understand it without closed caption.

Howard used the word negro in the first 1/2 hour of the show. Some idiot libs think that is a bad word, but clearly it is not.

And, as to white actors, Courtney Love actually used the phrase “I’m running on c.p. time”.

Hubby didn’t know what that meant, but I did. It means colored people time, as in late.

They say lots of un-pc stuff on that show, but I don’t think it would be enhanced by the use of the n-word.

I love Empire, and I can’t wait to see how many perilous cliff hangers they are going to have in the season finale.

“I thought it was about some show glorifying ghetto culture.”

It does in a way, but you have to take it for what it is, just a complete soap opera, it’s like a modern day Dallas.

And Cookie is great, her best line, to me, was when she said of her son’s much older love interest: oh, so you’re Yoko Ono and you want to be on the song? What can you do Yoko? Can you play the tambourine?

We originally watched the show because we like Henson so much from Person of Interest, she’s just an amazing actress.

No problem at all. I understand that the movie threads can get all variations of FRiends who either absolutely want nothing to do with Hollywood at all to any possible equation from there. As far as Empire, I can understand...I believe I am probably the same race as you are but the reason I like the show is because it shows that they are not perfect and it really is funny as hell in a sarcastic kind of way.

I liked it when Akeem was with his friends and he started slamming Obama as a fake brother and then they all joined in on it.

That was good too. The two brothers who sing are good, I’m impressed with the producers for finding those guys.

It’s awesome, it’s like a Black “Dynasty”. My mom loves it too.
