Aaron got his start in a very unassuming way. Before he won his first election, he literally went door-to-door in heavily Democrat neighborhoods and went into people's homes to talk with them about their issues. Many had never voted non-Democrat in their lives, but they voted overwhelmingly for Aaron because he had talked with them at length. Those first offices were local/state, in my recollection.
This is something more candidates ought to do, doing it with people who wouldn't otherwise believe you could care about their plight.
At first, I was hoping Aaron would have simply had some poor bookkeeping, but it truly appears fraudulent on amounts that are paltry when compared with Democrat fraud. My guess is that, because he does like “better things” and wanted to keep up appearances, he grew to continually fudge his expenses. Where most others in Congress come from wealth or are businessmen/women, I don't believe Aaron had these, and compensated by stretching the truth too many times.
I am not aware of a job he ever held before his first office. Surely he will find something right-away, but being visible will not be something we would now expect.
There's supposed to be a Tea Party attorney out of Bloomington/Normal that could be interested. Let's hope this RINO is replaced by such a person.
Perhaps Bill Brady will run?

A huge problem is that a bunch of grassroot conservatives and Tea Party types have been fooled into believing the spawn of LaThug is a great conservative. It’s the old Rand Paul/Jesse Jackson Jr. trick where they will swear up and down that he’s a decent guy and “different” from his divisive father, despite being unable to name a single issue where the younger politician and dear old daddy have ever disagreed.
What was his last primary like? Did the GOPe endorse him after torpedoing a challenger?
They must be pretty stupid. Maybe I could sell them a bridge, I own several.
Whoever that is, he’s unlikely to be a serious candidate.
Well, reports are LaThug Jr. is expected to announce he’s running TODAY.

State Senator Jason Barickman, with whom I am not familiar, is considering a bid.
None of us Illinois FReepers were bashing him for being gay. We are not dumb and we all knew that, he dresses metrosexual, the rumors have been going on for years.
The bigger issue is he lied about it. I think he still would have been elected had he had come out of the closet. His district was heavily Republican.
And the main issue us conservatives in Illinois had with Schock was that he was a RINO.
As I predicted, looks like they’re clearing it for Spawn of LaThug. I’d rather keep Schock.
Agreed. If the choice was keeping Schock or giving the seat back to the LaThug family, I'd keep Schock. I think little LaThug has been bidding him his time carefully, playing nice guy conservative in the state legislature for a few years, waiting patiently for his chance to go to D.C. for life where he can morph into the slimy RINO enforcer that his daddy was.
Schock isn't even as "liberal" as many are making him out to be. He was simply a right-of-center combiner establishment hack. Dold and Kirk are way to his left.
Totally agree and we know Schock was reliable when it came to national defense. When I think of LaThug I picture him as a GOP version of Mike Madigan.
LaHood always seemed like a pompous pig, with him being in lockstep with Zero we know what a monster he is, and the son would be a clone.
