Honeymoon Over: Scott Walker Under Fire for New Open Borders Amnesty Advocate Staffer Who Mocks Iowa
Breitbart ^ | 3/16/2015 | Mathew Boyle

Posted on 03/16/2015 8:28:38 PM PDT by gwgn02

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made another massive misstep on Monday, hiring Liz Mair of Mair Strategies to handle communications and social media for his campaign-in-waiting.

Mair’s support for amnesty for illegal aliens, wide-open-borders immigration policies, and public advocacy for the Senate “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill is sure to dog Walker in Iowa, South Carolina, and other early presidential states.

During the Senate Gang of Eight bill fight, Mair very publicly and very aggressively promoted the amnesty bill—pushing it to media and making the case for the need for it over and over again. She claims her advocacy was done out of the good of her heart, for free, because for religious reasons she believes in amnesty and open borders. But Mair wouldn’t answer who was paying her bills for her advocacy during the timeframe of the “Gang of Eight” bill in early 2013 through the end of the last Congress–when asked by Breitbart News if any specific tech companies or a select group of Wall Street billionaires were paying her.

“We’re contractually barred from disclosing our clients,” Mair said.

That could mean anyone—even foreign companies potentially—were paying her during the timeframe she was publicly advocating for the amnesty bill. While she didn’t have to disclose it to the public at the time now that she’s hitched to Walker the Wisconsin governor owns everything she said and did.

Looks like the GOPe and the media have found some ammo for the conservative circular firing squad. The goal is to pick off Walker, pick off Cruz ...

WRONG, factoryrat. The goal is siphon voters away from Cruz, and folks who do shallow research think Walker is "as good as" Cruz, when a little bit of research shows that Walker is "as good as" Bush, Huck and Christie and the rest of the GOPe.

The difference is that Bush, Christie, etc., pose ZERO threat to Cruz in terms of competing for Cruz voters in the primaries. Walker, on the other hand, poses a HUGE threat to a good outcome in the primaries. There's only going to be room for ONE true limited government conservative in the GOP primary, just one. Walker is perceived (wrongly,I am beginning to suspect as I become better informed) as a "conservative as good as Cruz, Cruz or Walker either one is okay with me!" And that is a bad thing for Cruz and a bad thing for America.

There's no "circular firing squad." The only people who ever complain about a "circular firing squad" are people who are complaining about fellow conservatives who reject their Republican favorite. The term "circular firing squad" is trying to say, "Well, everybody is doing it so everyone is to blame." Moral relativism crap. There is no "circular firing squad." There are leftists on the left side of the GOP tent, and conservatives on the other side.

Any idea of there being a "circle" is strictly for the purpose of self-appeasement.

Max, obviously Usagi-yo believes anything he reads in a headline. If it says "replacement," then by golly, that's what it is no matter what the article actually says!

MAX: “And Cruz didn't [sic] say 'replacement'”...

USAGI: Really? After just getting annihilated you’re going to just mumble and disassemble your way out of here? You’re not going to apologize or anything?

Apologize for what, Usagi? For being correct?

ALL WHO I'VE PINGED, please consider: When a supporter has to carefully misrepresent and deceive with regard to his candidate's main opponent, as Walker supporter Usagi does here with Cruz, then that says something pretty bad about his candidate. THESE ARE ALL RED FLAGS warning us early that Walker is a weak sister.

I don't see any Cruz supporters using outright deception to knock Walker, Bush, Huck, Christie, or any other potential opponent to Cruz. But so far, I've seen it a little too much for comfort on the part of a few very vocal Walker supporters. So when deciding on whether or not Walker deserves encouragement and support in entering the GOP primaries ... KEEP IT IN MIND. The behavior of a candidate's supporters speaks volumes about the candidate.

Like I said, either Ted Cruz is all about the negative or the Media is doing a good job hiding all of his visionary projects like his great visionary plan for Obamacare. Keep feeding the irony troll,

So, Usagi, please confirm or deny: In your view, a Republican candidate must have a "great visionary [REPLACEMENT] plan for Obamacare" or else that candidate is "all about the negative"?

Answer the question, please. Mostly, what in hell do you perceive as "irony" in this? What's "ironic" about Cruz wanting to obliterate Obamacare and make it LEGAL for people to deal with health insurance on their own terms, while Walker has ZIP "stated positon" on something so cut-and-dried? You support Walker -- how is the contrast between Cruz and Walker here "ironic"??????????

You know what I think, Max?

I think Usagi pulled the word "irony" out of his patoot because to him, using it lends a more sophisticated tone to his posts.

And I think he willfully ignores the difference between headlines and content.

I was asked for a source, and have provided the source directly from Ted Cruz’s official senatorial website.

Source: http://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=2251

Neither one of you are honest enough to admit you were wrong, you’re mumbling and walking backwards and tossing more made up accusations along the way as cover.

Like I opined in my original post on the subject ...

Ted Cruz is running as the Anti-Obama and that’s not good enough. He’s not providing much vision of a better future. He’s all negative or perhaps the Media is just sitting on anything positive about him, like his Obamacare replacement law he’s proposing.

Cruz has an Obamacare replacement law he’s proposed and picked up a co-sponsor with.

** WARNING ** Incoming Irony ** YOUR BRAIN WILL HURT **

“Sen. Cruz Introduces the Health Care Choice Act
BILL WOULD ELIMINATE DESTRUCTIVE AND COSTLY INSURANCE MANDATES WHILE GIVING CONSUMERS MORE CHOICE AND FREEDOM”

Source: http://www.cruz.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=2251

The irony is, while you two disassemble and deny that Cruz has a replacement for Obamacare and demanded sources, called me a liar and said I made it up, it existed on Ted Cruz’s official website Since March 3.

More irony in the fact that me, an admitted Scott Walker fan, but not a Ted Cruz hater, bothers to even read Cruz’s website while you two — professed Cruz supporters and apparent astroturfers didn’t even bother to follow the current news on him or visit and read what he writes on his website and Senate blog.

Wrong about what? You're the one putting words in Senator Cruz' statements that he never said.
You're the one trying to deceive people with gobbledygook doublespeak and trickery.

We're just simply pointing out to You (Red handed) and anybody who may think
you know what you're talking, your deceptions.

Falsely accusing Cruz for saying what he never ever has said, is a Bold Faced Lie.
In the famous words of Mark Levin, ""There, I said it""!

Attention potential Walker/Cruz supporters -- this thread is important when you consider whether or not Walker should be encouraged and supported in a GOP primary run.

USAGI (defending Scott Walker): I’ve read [Cruz's] obamacare replacement .... He still has a patina of negativity about him.

What Usagi really means is that he read an article about Cruz's position on Obamacare that has the word "Replacement" in the headline. Usagi is apparently unaware that what he was reading about wasn't actually an "obamacare replacement" but a combined plan to OBLITERATE Omabacare and to provide legislation in the meantime that would PROTECT AMERICANS AGAINST any parts of Obamacare that the courts fail to challenge and overrule.

The "patina of negativity" that Usagi perceives around Cruz is one thing -- for many, that patina is undoubtedly there and real, but then again, I perceive a much greater "patina of negativity" about Walker the more I learn about him. So ... any "patina of negativity" is entirely subjective, whereas it is entirely OBJECTIVE whether a candidate (Romney, for example) aspired/aspires to create a full "replacement" for Obamacare to "fix" the imaginary problem, or whether a candidate takes the position that government IS the problem and to repeal Obamacare in its entirety and restore freedom to Americans to deal with health care on their own terms and in a free market.

The difference between the two is PROFOUND, and apparently flies way over Usagi's head.

Man, you really love the word "irony," don't you? Too bad you don't know how to use it in proper context.

Nor do you know the proper use of the word "replacement." What Cruz presents is not a "replacement," it is a plan to get rid of Obamacare and restore the rights of Americans to deal with health insurance on their own terms.

Is getting rid of a liability the same as replacing it, Usagi?

Because what Cruz proposes to do is to GET RID of Obamacare. As for what Walker proposes to do about Obamacare -- if he's said anything, it's been yes-and-no, much like his answer on ethanol subsidies.

Perhaps your problem is that you read but fail to compute what you read.

Yep. And seeing as how Usagi was motivated by a desire to advocate for Scott Walker over Cruz, it makes Walker smell pretty bad.

I’ve already had my quota of waffling from Walker.

Cruz’s attitude seems to be: This is what the country needs in order to be saved. If I trim this way and this, just in order to get elected, then I won’t have a mandate to do what the country needs, and the country will be destroyed. So, American People, I’m offering you what you need in order to save the country. If you don’t want it, elect someone who won’t do it.

Cruz will make a better Senate Majority leader. If he gives that up he’ll make a great Attorney General. But I would rather see him remain in the Senate and hold that fort down. My opinion is he doesn’t have any momentum behind him other than fanatics that insist he’s going to win by running on the theme:

Obama sucked.

Very sad that he could not find someone with the media expertise he is seeking yet someone who is NOT:

Pro-amnesty
Pro-open borders
Pro-gay marriage
Pro-abortion

I am very disappointed in his choice and he is starting to look like a very typical politician :(

GET RID OF HER.

Geeze. Perhaps Walker is pro Amnesty.

Honestly, the entire country, FR included, are like crush-silly teens, expecting their beloved to act the way they dream they will act.

Walker is pro amnesty. Duh.

Just the slightest google ‘research’ reveals this. Ask why he went against the unions.

Motivation is everything in such matters. It shows a projection. Where is he going with it.

Would appear your post is spot on in that he is pro-amnesty. Can you elaborate or clarify what you mean by :
