IMO and from what I heard of the broadcast, this was a liv day for Rush. Whenever Rush references himself numerous times, I think it might be a liv and phone-it-in broadcast.

....have you noticed lately that Rush has been calling an inordinate amount of attention to himself-—citing himself, citing others citing him, citing others citing others citing him?
Don’t know what to make of it...other than he is appealing to the liv’s penchant of cultural gossip.
other possibilities are more disheartening to contemplate.
It’s not just lately. He always answers anyone who puts him in the news.
With his huge ratings he thumps them back real good!
BTW, in regards to ND, they could spoil it for both. :)
