Taking Christ's name in vain, Biden blasts biblical marriage 'bigots'

While addressing one of the nation's leading homosexual activist groups on Friday in the nation's capital, Vice President Joe Biden used the name of Jesus Christ in vain while defending the claim of the LGBT community that homosexuality is hereditary.

Biden was challenging prospective Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson's assertion last week that homosexuality is a choice … a learned behavior — not a gender or inherent biological state of being.

"A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight — and when they come out, they're gay," the acclaimed neurosurgeon told CNN's Chris Cuomo. "So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."

Apologizing later for his "choice of language" on a Facebook post, Carson wrote that even though he opposes same-sex "marriage" due to his Christian beliefs, individual states should be able to choose whether it's legal.

"I support civil unions for gay couples, and I have done so for many years," Carson expressed. "I support the right of individual states to sanction gay marriage, and I support the right of individual states to deny gay marriage in their respective jurisdictions."

Apology not good enough

Despite Carson's apology, Biden took the opportunity at the annual conference of the Washington, DC-based Human Rights Campaign, the nation's largest pro-LGBT lobbying group, to condemn the GOP candidate for his belief that homosexual behavior is a learned trait.

"Every ridiculous assertion from Dr. Carson on — I mean, ridiculous. I mean, J****, G**," Biden exclaimed before the LGBT crowd. "Oh G**. I mean, it's kind of hard to fathom, isn't it?"

(Video at link.)

The vice president then resorted to name calling, insinuating that Carson and others who ascribe to the biblical view of homosexuality should be eradicated from the planet in the name of "equality" and "tolerance."

"We're never going to be able to eliminate the bigots," Biden continued his rant. "They're a small percentage of the population."

Biden went on to assure the pro-LGBT crowd that even though the Obama administration cannot enforce a thought police, people who stand for their religious convictions are in the process of being wiped out — as the White House's homosexual agenda continues to proliferate across the nation.

To date, 37 states plus the District of Columbia have legalized same-sex marriage, whereas it was legal in only three states when Obama took office in January 2009. The president also erased the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy, essentially normalizing homosexual behavior in the U.S. military and squashing religious freedom throughout every branch of the armed forces.

"They'll continue to be vocal," Biden conceded. "But make one thing absolutely clear, folks, they are an incredibly smaller and smaller minority. This country is changing."

Crafting homosexual behavior into a civil rights issue

Using the observance of Selma's "Bloody Sunday" 50th anniversary commemoration this weekend celebrating the black civil rights demonstrations of 1965, Biden argued that the homosexual agenda to legalize same-sex marriage is a modern-day reflection of Martin Luther King's civil rights movement.

"[It is] in fact the same basic movement," Biden contended.

For years, homosexual activists have insisted that there is such a thing as a "gay gene," even though clinical research has refuted such a claim. Embracing the debunked notion and selling point, the homosexual agenda argues that gender identity — what sexuality a person self-proclaims himself or herself to be — determines whether a person is male or female instead of biological characteristics.

Since officially declaring his allegiance with the homosexual agenda and promoting same-sex marriage in 2012 — just days before Obama made his public announcement endorsing such unions after his "evolution" on the issue from his 2008 election stance — Biden has pushed the LGBT doctrine that homosexuality and "transgenderism" are hereditary and a natural state of being. That belief contradicts the Judeo-Christian beliefs under which he was raised as a Roman Catholic.

"I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying one another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties," Biden proclaimed in 2012.

Both Biden and Obama have advocated for federal legalization of same-sex marriage via a U.S. Supreme Court ruling, which would wipe out the remaining amendments protecting traditional marriage in the 13 states that don't currently recognize such unions. The high court's ruling that could negate those amendments is expected by late June.

My biggest problem with Carson is his anti 2nd amendment stance

“It depends on where you live....I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it,”

I would back him if he gets himself educated on the constitution. Most of what else he says has my seal of approval

And I also believe this is a STATE issue, to be decided by the states.

States have no more legitimate authority to decide against what God decided at the beginning of the creation than the federal courts do.

Folks need to get over this silly notion and get back to the founders' natural law understanding of how the world works and what government is obligated to do.

Marriage is what marriage is, in the same way that gravity is what gravity is.

If government at any level "decides" that up is down and down is up, are you going to jump over an eighty foot cliff, and take the entire country, or entire states, over the cliff with you?

So...let me get this straight
A career politician, with the IQ of a kumquat (sorry kumquats) is stating that he understands human physiology more than, probably the most world renowned neurosurgeon.

Last I have heard, there are THEORIES about biological homosexuality, but no definitive proof.

Also, typical of leftists, Biden attacked the person vs the subject matter. Carson had used the anal-ogy that many men go into prison straight, but come out gay. Bumbles Biden did nothing to address the comment, he just attacked the commenter.

Well, seriously, when you look at the base motivations, he IS threatening Christians,

and we should take the threats seriously.

The whole basis of the leftist movement is anti-Christian,
and their ultimate goal is to criminalize Christian beliefs
to the point that the power of the State can be used to punish and exterminate us.

Biden is an embarassment and a disgrace to America. Nothing he says is meaningful, intellegent, or relevant. What a complete jerk!!

Claims to be a practicing Catholic They don’t believe in abortion or gay marriage Guess he needs to be excommunicated?

That would require a Bishop with some fortitude. I am not holding my breath.

Yeah. That must be why 34 of the 37 states voted AGAINST sodomite marriage.

The thing that really irks me about the debate on gay marriage is those insisting we recognize their “right” to be married want those opposed to relinquish their first amendment right to freely practice religion. You see the same tactic used on the 2nd Amendment as well.

You make a good argument, but then you must also argue that states have no authority to recognize traditional heterosexual marriage.

Which is probably the best argument to be made. The state is not involved when someone gets baptized, why should it be involved when a man and women are joined with God in holy matrimony.

Agree. It’s demanding tolerance ... no, acceptance ... no, active affirmation of one’s belief structure while simultaneously demanding the use of governmental authority and power to suppress and shut down opposing ones.

Which, with Progressives, isn’t limited to this one issue. See PJ O’Rourke’s commentary about Liberals being spoiled brats.

What you must understand is that the leftist proponents of “gay rights” don’t give a rat’s behind about homos.
They are just using them to achieve the goal of criminalizing Christianity.

Once you realize, accept, and apply this truth to the situation, all the behaviors you see make sense.

Yeah, he has that knee jerk doctor reaction to be anti gun - merely from ER experiences. That’s where a lot of doctors, who are mostly conservative, stray. I suppose it’s normal. Not right, though. Not right at all.

Because marriage is not just a spiritual matter. It also forms the foundational unit of civil society, of economy, of human self-government, and of our physical Posterity.

The point I was trying to make is that two entirely different things happen when a heterosexual christian couple are joined together in the religious rite of holy matrimony.

1. The unalterable religious historical truth you are referring to called holy matrimony.

2. Then later they sign a contract to form a civil union recognized by the state. This civil union is called a marriage license.

I would argue that government has no right at ANY level, local, state, or federal to interfere with #1.

And that #2 should be left up to the states.

So the EVIL Obama regime, of which Biden is big part, admits they “can’t enforce a thought police,” but if they could get away with it they would. And guess what? Thats where we’re headed.
