Cruz has no leadership credentials or accomplishments, like Walker does.

What leadership credentials?

Leadership is not all about holding an executive office. Leadership is about having a larger vision and the will to accomplish it. Leadership is about communicating that vision and having others join in that vision. Cruz can hire many Walkers to implement his vision.

Accomplishments?

His key accomplishments are winning in a blue state and setting the public employee unions straight.

Chris Christie also won a couple of times in a blue state, and I think he attempted to straighten out the unions. But he did not have a legislature to support him. Does that mean I think Christie is great- not really.

From a liberal site!!!! (Walker) ...has been systematically remaking the DNR ever since into a business-friendly entity hostile to anyone who would challenge his corporatist agenda; one of his very first actions after his inauguration suspended an ongoing review of an application by a developer donor

Leadership is about having a larger vision and the will to accomplish it. Leadership is about communicating that vision and having others join in that vision.

Which is precisely how Walker led in Wisconsin, with a clear vision for what needed to be done to fix the deficit and put the state on firm footing for economic growth. He asked questions of people rather than told them what he thought and convinced many to follow him.

There are not too many GOP leaders who could convince purple Republicans to support defunding public sector unions today....not even Christie, who is a blowhard, not an educator.

Walker educates as he goes and builds the momentum for conservatism. That is why he is leading because people love to follow this guy.

If holding an executive office is the biggest qualification a person needs then 8 years in the White House ought to be the entire criteria.

Christie compromised while Walker won. The legislature mattered in both cases. Walker won as Milwaukee county executive, but the ‘legislature’ was Democrat. That takes some political skill.

Part of capturing Reagan Democrats is delivering government services they want effectively and efficiently. That’s not easy.
