Sounds like the author has developed an obsession and is writing a book. If his theory that the Russians are behind the disappearance of MH370 is correct, dont be surprised if he suddenly disappears as well.

I've always thought the probabilities were the following (in order):

1) The Malaysian Air Force splashed it, fearing another 9/11 in Kuala Lumpur. No government will talk because they know what release of the truth would do to air travel.

2) Some variant of the author's/General McInerney's theory - the pilot killed the passengers and stole the plane, flying it to a friendly country through some trickery or another.

3) The Diego Garcia theory - he got too close and the USAF splashed it.

4) The Southern Ocean theory - for public consumption.

My first thought was there must be a radar “dead zone” that corresponds with the border. Nah, that can’t be. Primary Radar, which is also referred to as “skin paint” is faint on a radar screen compared to a transponder identified return which shows the aircraft call sign, altitude, and airspeed.

I love mangosteens.

so do I. I ate them by the dozen when I was in Thailand. Now I can get only canned ones. Good, but not the same.

I don't understand why someone doesn't import fresh ones. My son got me one from an Asian grocery, but it was so dried up I couldn't even get it open.

Then there's the last line of a poem by Kipling: "You'll know what my riddle means when you've eaten mangosteens."

Kind of bizarre. All that mass, bodies, personal items, luggage, etc. And a towlette shows up? Weird. Maybe the pilots made a Miracle on the Hudson landing and the whole thing just sank. We may never know.
