CBS NEWSMarch 14, 2015 Kerry: Last Chance For Iran Nuclear DealComment Shares 7 Tweets Stumble Email More + SHARM EL-SHEIKH, Egypt -- Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to Switzerland Sunday for a marathon round of talks with Iran about freezing its nuclear program.

Almost sure to come up: The letter 47 Republican senators sent this week to Iran, warning that any deal will not last beyond President Obama's term. With the clock ticking, Kerry said that this is the last chance. He has until the end of March to hammer out a deal with Iran.

"So we believe very much that there's not anything that's going to change in April or May or June that suggests that at that time, a decision you can't make now will be made then," Kerry said. "If it's peaceful, let's get it done. And my hope is that in the next days, that will be possible."

If the deal - which would be a betrayal of our only real ally in the Mid-East - is squelched by the letter Tom Cotton and 46 other Republican Senators sent to Iran - then thank Almighty God!

If it is not, a multitude of our Patriots are ready to act!

It’s going to be an interesting week.

The Embassy in Saudi Arabia closed under threat of attack, the Israeli election, and that retard Kerry running around giving the Iranians the atomic bomb.

There is no binding treaty without a 2/3 approval vote in the Senate. Dear ex-Senator Kerry, didn’t you learn that when you were in the Senate (or high school)?

You can negotiate any sell-out of America’s defenses you wish.
If you want it to become a binding part of American law, it goes to the Senate... otherwise, its as good as any other scrap of paper...
(see how Obama has refused to honor certain international commitments made by his predecessor, for example if you really need it...your own boss Mr Obama has demonstrated for all to see just how worthless the word of an American president is when a new person comes to Occupy the White House who does not honor anything anybody else does...... yes, you’ve been belied...and hoisted on your boss’ petard. Put some catsup on it and ....

In a series of interviews to TV and radio channels, newspapers and news websites this week, Netanyahu hammered home the message that voting for the Likud was the only way to avoid a left-wing government in Israel.

“The rule of the right is in danger,” Netanyahu wrote on Facebook earlier on Friday.

“Left-wing and media elements in Israel and abroad have conspired to bring [Zionist Union leaders Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni] to power illegitimately, by means of slander at home and unprecedented money from abroad.”

The prime minister added that the only way to ensure that the left does not succeed is to “close the gap in the days that remain before the election.”

It’s not a treaty. It’s an executive agreement that can be changed by the next President. But if he takes it to the UN, then upon certain approval it will be part of international law thus ending sanctions from other foreign nations and this is exactly what Iran and the other nations want. $$$

there is no enforcement for a UN resolution anyway

and trying to
go around the US Constitution and Congress will cause such an uproar as none of us have ever seen in our lifetime

the next president can just announce that the US does not support the executive agreement (?) or UN resolution or whatever

it can be flushed right down the toilet where it belongs, either way, then

meanwhile, O does not need any agreement at all to continue protecting the Iranian IslamoNazi nuclear bomb and iCBM factories with our USAF (since Congress won’t stop him)
and
O apparently also does not need any agreement to continue to arrange more and more funding $$$ for Iran, either (since Congress hasn’t stopped him)

Until we can get a FUNCTIONAL Congress, he is dictator.
There are no checks and balances to his usurpation of all power totally and completely. I bet he could order the electricity cut off to the Congressional buildings and Congress would do nothing about it

Congress is now a complete waste, and this is allowing or enabling the usurpation of dicatorial power at the WH

our system of governance is broken

dead

whether it can be ressurected will depend on, first, getting Speaker Boehner to retire

Correct. But the idea here is to end the sanctions. Iran will now have the rest of the world supplying them with means and material.

“trying to go around the US Constitution and Congress will cause such an uproar as none of us have ever seen in our lifetime”

Will it??
I don’t think so....
Not in the New Amerika, anyway.

Unless the Daily Show says it’s OK, you won’t be seeing any large numbers of people protesting it, anywhere.

The meme will be, as usual, that this is something “ONLY those crazy racist Republicans care about! YOU aren’t a crazy racist, are you Mr. Sheeple?”

Yes, and O can end the rest of the sanctions the same way he ended the first part of the sanctions, by just doing it

and congress will do NOTHING I bet, NOTHING.
Congress is the second part of the Problem in American govt today, it is Dysfunctional to the extreme and only serves as a rubber stamp for O

ridiculous, and something unimaginable just a few years ago

especially since Congress has been so dysfunctional and its the body that needs to start doing its job

ASAP!

Go straight to Hell, John F Scary Kerry.

Once a treasonous b#stard, always a treasonous b#stard.

Can you imagine sitting across the table from the surgically enhanced (LOL), but still ugly face of Lurch, while he thinks he's negotiating but all the time, he's actually getting rolled?

The brutal Iranians must be laughing their collective asses off.

Obama: I'll Make Case to American People After Iran Deal Is Made

nully-the-psychic says:

Here's the deal:

If Iran says they'll stop their nuclear weapons program, we'll give them 10 fully functional W88 warheads with the PAL codes (00000000 in all cases)

The announcement to the American public will be made after the warheads have been physically transferred.

The letter didn’t warn the deal wouldn’t last beyond his presidency. The important caveat missing from the opening of the article is the unless approved part. Man what a blatant case of biased reporting.

Exactly... it’s purpose is to be a green light for other countries to disregard the sanctions.
