That is because if one parent goes down the other survives.
But when it costs that much; they should travel together and let the grandparents somewhere inherit the responsibility of the kids if they crash and die IMO.

Only little people have to take the same flight. Personally, I see absolutely no reason why the president can’t take a regularly scheduled commercial flight. After all, the TSA searches everyone who enters.

If I were the president of the United States of America I would not want my spouse and kids flying with me. There are too many unaccounted for surface to air missiles in the world manned by people who want me dead.
This is likely the only time I think Obama is doing the right thing.
