China's first aircraft carrier, which was renovated from an old aircraft carrier that China bought from Ukraine in 1998, is seen docked at Dalian Port, in Dalian, Liaoning province September 22, 2012.
Y not sell USS Ranger to Taiwan, then sell them F-35’s..?
Building an aircraft carrier and knowing how to use it are two entirely different things.
Question: Are we still building nuclear subs or are we relying on our aging fleet?
PING!
Rats. I had read their first aircraft carrier was going to have a catamaran structure. I was wanting to see them try counter-flooding if it was bombed or torpedoed.
Oh yeah, well we’re gonna have female SEALs soon. We’re gonna call’em Strikeforce Midol! So there!
Hope they put a better buffet on it then the buffet on the first one. No soft ice cream. And lobster night was a bust. I know lobster. Lobsters don’t have beaks. The only towel animal the maid could make was a sponge. Just wadded up the towel and threw it on the bed. She came around on the last day looking for a tip. I gave her a tip.
“Learn how to make a bird out of a towel!”
She evidently had learned how to make a bird out of her middle finger.
In the most recent year, America ran a 342 billion dollar trade deficit with China.
A new all-time record.
China now has the second-largest military budget, on earth. And it is growing. Rapidly.
Bring American businesses back. To America.
The US is already being pushed out of China’s near waters but no one wants to admit because it would lead to crisis.
Remember, China is not interested in roving the world, they just want to control their area.
Will it be available for sale at Walmart like all their other plastic crap?
Ping!
If their carriers are as functional and reliable as their consumer-electronics products are, our biggest worry is that they might make it beyond the 30-day return window before sinking under their own weight.
But just in case they actually do work, I would like to see Japan build a few carriers of their own — and modify their concept of “defense” to include protecting the sea lanes over which their commercial ships pass.
We’ve had these “reports” NUMEROUS times over the last three years.
They have all proved false to date.
If the source info is coming from WANTCHINATIMES on Taiwan on similar souces...it is not a credible source.
I have no doubts that the Chinese are ultimately going to build several carrier battle groups...maybe as many as five. There is just no current credible information yet that they have started their second one.
