Colin Powell Still Sees 'Dark Vein' of Intolerance in GOP

Speaking on the day following the 50-year anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" in Selma, Alabama, the first African-American Secretary of State Colin Powell said he still sees a "dark vein" of intolerance in the Republican Party, echoing comments that he made in 2013.

"I still see it. I still see it in the Republican Party and I still see it in other parts of our country. You don't have to be a Republican to be touched by this dark vein," Powell told ABC's George Stephanopoulos Sunday on "This Week."

Because, at heart, he will sabotage anyone not black, even if the person made him what he is in the career world. Powell is a viper.

Sure thing...I’d love to see him act a bit like a Republican, rather than just claim to be one.

Colin Powell is what General George Patton had in mind when referring to “paper hangers”.

I told hubby when the Gulf War I started when the land troops went in on the 18 January 1991, that the quickest way home was through Baghdad, but Colin Powell being the pansy that he is, talked H.W. Bush into halting all action against Saddam.....I knew that was a bad mistake. And as it turned out, I was right.

Well it’s obvious this fool isn’t looking in the right places. If you want sickening intolerance look no further than the Democratic Party General Powell. I’m so sick of these RINOS thinking that we conservatives are nothing but hayseed, redneck types.

Any black person who longs for smaller government and self-sufficiency is welcomed into the Republican Party with open arms. That includes Colon Powell when he pretended to hold those beliefs, more or less.

I am starting to believe that these sort-of black people, like Powell and Obama, feel they have to prove something to convince others they are really black. I think they are embarrassed by the high offices they have undeservingly achieved due to the special privileges extended to blacks. Perhaps the sort-of blacks have survivor’s guilt.

Powell was a military mediocrity who never would have been Chairman of the Joint Chiefs or Secretary of State without having black skin.

His hero is another affirmative action mediocrity who used pro-black racism and white guilt to get all the way to the top of the country.

Affirmative action is one of the WORST things to happen to this once-great nation.

Powell has a dark vein in his own personality. It's called a preference for "tribalism", and it isn't pretty.

He might as well go join Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, el Presidente and the rest of the racists trying to burn down our country with political correctness, reparations, and charges of racism. We can live without him. We can live without the others, too.

Screw them.

Isn’t that scary? That he was once touted as the leading GOP candidate for President. What a Trojan Horse would that have been?
