A bill dissolving Cover Oregon, the state's dysfunctional health insurance exchange, has been signed by Gov. Kate Brown.
The measure, which had bipartisan support, transfers responsibilities for the Oregon exchange to the state Department of Consumer and Business Services.
The decision was announced in a nine-word tweet from Brown's account, which said simply: "This afternoon I signed Senate Bill 1 into law." She signed the legislation Friday.
Cover Oregon was plagued by problems almost from its onset. No Oregonian was ever able to enroll online in a private plan under the Affordable Care Act because the state exchange never had a functioning website, forcing insurance seekers to file paper applications.

The recently resigned in disgrace Oregon Gov. Kitzhaber oversaw it's inception.
He tried to shift the incompetence blame from him to Oracle, but Oracle isn't having any of it.
Lawsuits will happen and lawyers will get rich.
Meanwhile, it's just one more example of liberal incompetence.
Oregon Ping.

The entire concept of government mandated/provided healthcare insurance (Obamacare) is unsound and doomed to failure.
It looks like Oregon will be one of those states that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule against ... :-) ...
Proving once again that fantasy worlds are much easier to conjure up than to turn into reality. But, the fantasy lives on to fail again another day.
I hope so...and I live in Oregon
Another vote for freedom.....we shall see what the SCOTUS does either to, or for, America.

Yeah, put these people in charge of running/administering American heath care. Half the population will die of mental stress just trying to sign up. Those waiting for actual treatment will die of old age waiting.
Actually, Oregon may be one of there very sticky points in the court's ruling. They tried, but failed to put a state exchange into place. I can certainly imagine some lawyer asking: "Should the citizens be penalized for the incompetence of their government?"
Of course, my answer would be: "You elected them, you live with the consequences." OTOH, liberals are never very big on consequences for foolish actions.
You can create a repair disc for windows 7 and also do a image file. You won’t lose any files unless the hard drive is destroyed.

Create a partition on the hard drive or send the image to a usb connected drive.

Liberalism... The opium of the masses....
Well, it only cost a couple of hundred million, so it’s a win-win.
“Should the citizens be penalized for the incompetence of their government?”
LOL. We all are. Federal, state and local.
How prescient.

What does this Oregon mess have to do with the recent ObamaCare case before the Supreme Court? I don't understand.
If the Court rules in favor of Obama---many commentators say that Roberts and Kennedy are leaning that way---will the decision help or not help the people of Oregon? Thanks.
I’m saying that the U.S. Supreme Court will rule against giving the subsidy to people in states who are not running their own exchange. So, in that event, it means that since Oregon is not running its own exchange, people of the State of Oregon will not be getting subsidies.
It will be a bad shock for those in Oregon who thought they were going to get subsidies!
