If that was my 82 year old Mom, I would handle it myself and Ms. Perkins would indeed need a handicap placard.
Can’t judge all by her actions. The guy in the pick-up who stopped the thug from leaving was black.
This isn’t even fun anymore, we all know what the prep looks like by the headline....
No kidding, Sherlock? )
The ‘N’ word is not descriptive enough for this evil twin of the Mooseshell.
For the sake of accuracy the feral thug chest bumped the old woman who fell hard. IMO that is different from “slamming” the woman to the ground which implies picking her up and throwing her down. I hate inaccurate or inflammatory headlines.
We maintain Ms. Perkins innocence relating to the charges that have been brought by the Milwaukee County District Attorneys Office. This was an unfortunate accident that came about after a misunderstanding between two individuals. Ms. Perkins is, herself, disabled, however the fact that her disability is not immediately noticeable led to confusion between the two women.
More than anything, this case highlights the need for individuals to be aware of and sensitive to the fact that many people may suffer from disabilities and ailments that are not always readily noticeable. We believe that the facts will come out as this matter progresses and that ultimately Ms. Perkins will be cleared of the charges in this case.
No wonder lawyers are on the bottom of the respected professionals list just above Congressman and child molesters
I was just going to post what you said—I was happy to see that a few people immediately came to help the assaulted woman, and there were a few eyewitnesses in addition to the video.
What is amazing is that the black woman is “disabled” (officially) at 32 and she moved like a linebacker.
The elderly woman had a recent hip joint replacement, which ruptured upon impact with the pavement. The pain must have been excruciating.
Sounds like a hate crime to me.
In a day when men had integrity and a strong moral devotion, a vigilantly system worked pretty well. It's a shame we can't respond in the same manner these days. There would be a lot less of this debauchery in the news.
From what I understand the handicap permit was not valid, and not hers.
That is correct, the HC permit the black woman as using was not hers and out of date.
But the black woman is a disabled person.
Makes you wonder what her disability is, other than mental.
Neighborhood Watch?
Believe it or not I have three available to me with the furthest one being about 7 miles away.........There's also 2 Home Depots, one about three miles east of me and the other 3 miles west..........
Every day in Houston I see a person who is neither handicapped nor elderly, parking in a handicapped space WITH a handicapped plackard.
They are either using grandmas plackard or someone at that agency is giving them out illegally.
“We Need that Money to Live”
My wife accidentally parked in a handicapped parking space as she quickly ran into the store for something. It was dusk, the spot was partially obscured by the temporary garden center that was hastily erected in the parking lot and it wasn’t marked with a sign, just a blue smudge on the asphalt. She was in the store for 35 minutes and an officer had spotted her parking and had already written the ticket and departed before she returned to the truck.
We thought at least some of the $250 would go to help the handicapped or injured and disabled officers... NOPE, it disappears into the general fund well at least here in IL not like in FL where some 70% goes to special needs causes. Our alderman in responding to my wife’s queries actually said “We need that money to live”. We complained to the manager of the store who could do nothing for us but the spot since has been removed.
I too regularly watch those of the privileged class leap from their flashy vehicle’s with their dangling placards and special license plates skip into stores from their privileged parking spaces nary a wheelchair, cane or even a limp in sight and sometimes I glimpse the old timers, veterans and otherwise less mobile hobbling into the store from spaces now farther across the parking lot to accommodate the three acres of blue parking spots for those with placards. I think handicapped parking is just more legalized plunder from an overbearing government that steals more and more of our freedoms every day.
When they came for the space for handicapped parking... I said nothing because I wasn’t a parking lot...
I heard this story in my little town, from reputable sources, more than 50 years ago.
A man in town was abusing his two young daughters, who told their teacher about it (By the time I heard it, the girls were grown). Town folk took it on their own to hang him. When it was investigated, no one admitted to knowing anything about it. They knew he didn’t hang himself because he was bound arms and legs.
The website calls this a fight between 2 women. I didn’t see any fight. The big, black woman just walked up and knocked her down.
My husband was issued a handicapped placard because he has neuropathy. I have one in my vehicle because he was issued two. I never use it except if I am taking him someplace. It is his and we were told it was illegal for anyone else to use it, that includes me. Others don’t seem to understand that.
Hate crime.
