Rank-and-file Republicans are openly contemplating a coup against House Speaker John A. Boehner and his top lieutenants after a series of self-inflicted legislative fumbles and political defeats in the first weeks of the congressional session.
This weeks retreat from the standoff over Homeland Security Department funding and President Obamas deportation amnesty was only the latest embarrassment for Republican leaders, who also have had to yank bills on abortion, border security and education after rebellions within their own party.

These clowns were warned before they put Boner back in as Speaker. What fools. Now they want to get rid of him ???? A bit late ???
RINO heads need to roll. I’m tired of the orange drunk and the bug-eyed turkey neck bending over for owebama, reid, and pelousy. The American voters gave them orders last November but boner and mcturkeyneck are bowing and scraping before their lord and master. That is NOT why they were granted majorities. They can’t and won’t lead - get rid of them!
Blaa blaa blaa. Lets see some action. I am tired of this drama.
The elections were held in last November. They had a chance to get rid of this incompetent stooge. Now there is a rumble to remove him. Good luck! I think it is too late.
tell you what ... Post the story when they actually physically bounce the orange-faced a$$h*le down the capital steps - along with his perverse little cabal of RINO corn hole lickers
Got that right. Nothing but clowns.
There is something very wrong in the upper levels of the House and Senate leadership.
I’ll believe it when I see it. I think they’ll huff and they’ll puff, but in the end they’d rather have Boehner around to blame for not getting things done that they promised voters. Boehner gives them cover for their lies, which is the reason he is still there.
Here's the thought I've expressed on a few threads: In November, the voters could not have sent a clearer message that we wanted Republicans in DC to take charge and DO SOMETHING !!! They should've gotten to DC enraged about the earlier deal for most of the budget. We gave them plenty of rope with that margin of victory. They could use it as a lifeline to save the US or to hang themselves. They've used it to hang themselves.
Blah blah blah is correct. They need to shut the HOR down if that's what it takes to get a new Speaker. Only a real crisis will change the direction of things.
BINGO - they didn’t have the spine when leverage was on their side, so what makes them think they have a snowball’s chance in hell of removing him now?
They can’t even take baby steps.
They don’t have to vote with him. They think we don’t know that?
This is just a bunch of ballyhoo to try and keep the base settled.
Not only the mandate, but amnesty, especially dictatorial amnesty is unpopular. The republicans had the wind at their back, but they punted to the Democrats. Boehner’s lying is rivaled only by Obama, either get rid of him or accept the fact you are trying to hide behind his lies.
Get rid of him, or you will be gotten rid of.
Simple as that.
And let me ad this, if they were to show enough fortitude to bench that loser, I think they would find a solid and enthusiastic base. They would have the leverage to pick their battles. As it is now, if Boehner refused to stick his hand in a meet grinder he would be criticized.
So they will end up with the least conservative "rebel" as their leader.
He will quickly become even more squishy and become indistinguishable from Boehner.
Boot that jerk!!!!!!!!
