He was another big Star Trek icon.

Hmmm. Anyone beginning to see a pattern here?

Most of the “Star Trek” movies have been pretty mediocre. I think part of the problem is they took the whole thing too seriously.

He ran through 2-5 basically. 2-4 were great, 5 of course sucked. But he was in charge during the better times as well.

He produced the Mod Squad? My favorite show of all time? No way. Oh man this sucks. RIP. Linc, Julie and Pete I'm sure are feeling it...This is not a groovy day.

Obama was embarrassed last year when he mistook Star Wars for Star trek. Obviously some people have to pay for that. The Crown was disparaged.

I'm sure she's had a lot of rework, but Peggy is still looking quite sporty at age 68.

Yeah, you pass your average life expectancy and then you die.
Has anyone hear from Captain Kirk? Or Sulu?
To: Monty22002
The man most responsible for salvaging the franchise after the highly-anticipated first 1979 movie was so disappointing to the fans.
He was the prime mover of Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan, and then the II, III and IV Spock Dies and returns to save the whales "arc."
It may not be an exaggeration to say he saved the franchise's continuity and maybe the franchise itself.
I think he did a cameo as the "Admiral" talking Kirk into taking on a mission, later on. Can't place the precise moment, maybe V.

I actually heard the news from Shatner’s twitter. The next oldest might be Patrick Stewart. The other 3 Original Trek ones seems to be doing well.
