Military pressure may be needed to oust Syria's President Bashar al-Assad, US Secretary of State John Kerry said in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

SNIP---

"Ultimately a combination of diplomacy and pressure will be needed to bring about a political transition. Military pressure particularly may be necessary given President Assad's reluctance to negotiate seriously."

Just in case you haven't heard what one of the World's foremost morons said today...

After all, we MUST use the US Military to make Syria safer for the Iranians to control.

Only a traitor like Kerry would want Assad removed right now.

Iran backs Assad, so your comment makes no sense.

Moron in chief. Assad is FRIENDs with the Iranians—and quite friendly to the SHIA majority in his country.

Doing the bidding of the House of Saud is what got us in to trouble in Benghazi. There ARE NO moderate syrian rebels, jean kerri’ (who served in Vietnam, recall and got a medal for shooting himself in the foot, then tossed it away).

First, moron kerry and obamaomau say=-— “hurry hurry, we HAVE toe leave IRAQ now.... now... now. US experts say— gradual... or we will lose all we have gained. So we leave, then we lose this to Al qaeda in Iraq... aka ISIS funded by the SUNNIs against the shiite govt. we insisted on setting up.

OH yeah— buddy boy— this is GDmnd BRILLIANT!. What do you say chicken sh#t jean kerri’ to the FAMILIES of all those who lost soldiers in the years of Iraq that it took to contain the Baathists of Saddam, as well as the Iranian insurgents? WHAT DO YOU SAY to them, dear jean......?

What an A@@HOLE.

Actually, he's advocating making it safe for ISIS, since Assad is allied with Iran.

So which radical islamist would they like to replace him with.

Frankly I don't understand why Kerry didn't use his vast military training to take out Assad on one of his many chances.

Yep, the Obama regime must be getting nervous over the recent news that Assad, in conjunction with some Kurdish fighters, is making progress against ISIS.

Very few people know this because he keeps so quite about it but Kerry served in Vietnam.

Another reason why I cannot support military action against ISIS without a lot more information.

Kerry’s statement makes it clear to me that there WILL be mission creep with Obama as CinC. I’m not a fan of Assad, but he is a lesser problem in the region.

What has Assad done to us? His likely replacement will be ISIS,not the so-called moderate rebels that McCain likes so much, which have a history of having their armaments captured and defecting to the radicals. And the remaining Christians will be toast.

The State Dept is determined to turn Syria into another Libya.

The goal of the past two administrations in the region seems to be replacing secular dictators with foaming-at-the-mouth Islamic jihadists. I'm not quite sure how this is serving U.S. interests.

If there were any smart diplomacy in DC we would be using Assad's struggle as leverage to get some concessions out of him. Help him fight against ISIS in return for him driving Hezbolla out of his country.
