Ever hear of this thing called the "Widow's mite"?
The vehicle seizure kicks in at 50 kph over the limit which is about 30 mph. You need to be charged with stunt driving which involves more than just plain speeding but if you are you lose your license and car for 7 days minimum. After that I think it is up to the courts. No matter how you slice it it can get very expensive very fast.
Why do you think the gov wants ALL the information about us? for complete control of all aspects of our lives.

We use POINTS in the United States...get caught driving 14 over more than a few times and you won’t be driving.

The Nordic "utopias" will be early adopters of speed controlling/reporting transponders in cars, and eventually, mandatory "self-driving" for all personal vehicles.

A rich man speeding and a poor man speeding hurt society the same. If we accept the premise that deterrence is the only factor in dishing out punishments then given the same crime, shouldn’t younger people get more time in prison than older people? After all time means more to an older man.

In the US, most (all?) states have a “point” system such that if you get enough “points,” you lose your driving privileges.
But “each according to their means” as in this example is socialist pap pure and simple.

The Finnish government must be really desperate for revenue.
And BTW, the point of most tickets for traffic violations is also REVENUE GENERATION. Example: When people weren’t running enough red lights in [redacted] after they put in red light cameras, they SHORTENED THE YELLOW PHASE, leading to (1) more tickets and (2) more accidents including fatalities.

A $25 using a cell phone in car ticket works out to about $250 when the gov’t makes up add’ll charges like you live in one county but got the ticket in another so we charge you for 2 court houses. happens in southern california.
