FRESNO (KMJ) -- Investigators are now trying to find out who was responsible for a brawl at a Fresno DMV.

The fight saw furniture being thrown around and people running for cover - in the DMV on Olive and Weber.

One of the chairs thrown across the room even shattered a counter top.

It was captured on internal surveillance cameras and on onlooker's cell phones.

Gabrielle Forman told our news partner KMPH Fox 26 News she was only there to change the registration on a car.

I do nearly everything vehicle related over the net. Usually, because I don’t get tickets, my license is automatically renewed. If I do have to go to the DMV there is a rural one about 20 miles away that is pretty easy to deal with.

I would never go into an big City DMV, no way in h e double hockeysticks.

It could be incorporated into the Highland Games. It is related to the Caber Toss but more appropriate for women.

I can’t speak for all the DMV offices in California, but being able to schedule an appoint in a reasonable short period of time has helped cut a lot of the waiting. And if you have all the paperwork ready, you get in and out quickly. I have written letters of appreciation to DMV’s in two different cities because the personnel were efficient and friendly. I know that many people don’t always have the same experience, but I give credit when it is due.

I would hate to see the chairs taken out of the DMVs. People who have trouble standing for long periods of time need them.

Maybe that is this women’s problem. The chair wasn’t big enough. Where I am employed we spent Tens of thousands purchasing chairs with arms. Due to overwhelming number of complaints they sold them and purchased Chairs without Arms.

That first year was fun, watching people attempt to either wedge themselves into the chair or ask for someone to show up with a hydraulic jack and a come-along to get them out. :)

As to the DMV I have found the dredges of Society tend to be now where around if you get there when they open. I am usually in and out in less than 15 minutes. For Government work that’s not bad...

Every Cal-DMV office has the potential to turn into this on any given day...

Nah, depends on the location, I went to a DMV in long beach, Ca. and it was so poorly set up and run that tempers were up, but if I go to the Westminster,CA. location they operate smooth, efficiently and quickly so even if there is a long line it moves well enough that people remain patient.

I want that woman to try out for the Packers. You know how hard it is to throw a table like that? I haven’t thrown one like that at the DMV for a few years, but it’s not easy. (snicker)

We use a number system in MA and it’s a great improvement over the old way.

Yes but here, you have to stand in line to get a number.

She proceeded to pick up an entire 6-place lunch table (with attached seats) and throw it at him.

Was her last name SUH?

Gee I’m glad our DMV is privatised...I’ve never spent more than 15 mins getting anything I neeeded, the staff is friendly and they will go out of their way to help resolve issues.

I don’t think so, but now that you mention it there’s a certain resemblance.
