Bush v. Webb
March 5, 2014 | Vanity

Posted on 03/05/2015 7:12:24 AM PST by yetidog

I have seen several stories speculating on Hillary’s replacement if the email story is fatal to her presumed nomination. Elizabeth Warren, Martin O’Malley and even the horrible Algore have all been mentioned. Little has been said about the already announced Jim Webb, war hero, man-for-all seasons and perhaps one of the last “conventional” Democrats. But if the GOP nominates Jeb Bush and Webb somehow secures the Democratic nomination, who would you go with? I would probably go with a protest third party candidate (if viable).

How is that much different than a Hillary presidency

Yes, you’re right, he makes Biden look all there in comparison.

I guess he’d make great assassination insurance for Hillary or Lizzy.

The Dems would never allow a VP nominee who served in the Reagan Administration.

I don’t know about that, they love traitors.

They’re often wary of party switchers. I remember a Dem activist and office-holder in Michigan telling me they never fully trusted left-winger Don Riegle, who first won office as an anti-LBJ Republican in 1966 and moved up to the Senate a decade later shortly after switching to the Dems.

The RATS do some screwy things when it comes to acceptable candiates.

Joe LIEberman had impeccable RAT credentials and loyally did their biding 95% of the time, but wasn’t “progressive” enough for them. According to the insane lefties, the mere fact he agreed with Bush on the WOT made him Bush’s BFF.

Meanwhile you had Weasley Clark, another insane “military hero” who formerly served under GOP presidents and loved to “wage war”, but then conveniently switched parties in 2004 and ran as a RAT because the GOP wouldn’t let Gen. Looney Tunes run under the Republican banner. The most die-hard socialist RATs like Michael Moore welcomed him with open arms.

Didn’t trust Riegle? Imagine that. That would be like Republicans not trusting Jesse Helms.

Jeb won’t fight the Obama amnesty, he won’t reduce spending, he endorses the NSA collection of all of our communications, he endorses open borders and fighting obamacare would be too much for him.

Hillary would continue the amnesty policy, won’t reduce spending, endorses the NSA, wants open borders and would not roll back obamacare.

The only difference is that one has an R after their name. The rest is the same. Both are destructive to Americans and our liberty.

Feel free to respond with factual differences. Calling your fellow FReepers pathetic for realizing that the GOP is simply interested in POWER won’t win us over.
