WITNESSES TO MICHAEL BROWN SHOOTING FEARED CONTRADICTING ‘HANDS UP, DON’T SHOOT’ NARRATIVE
Breitbart ^ | March 4, 2015 | by JOHN SEXTON

According to an 86-page report issued by the Department of Justice, six of the most credible witnesses to the shooting of Michael Brown were afraid to give testimony in support of Ferguson, MO, police officer Darren Wilson, because they knew it would undercut the “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative being advanced by their neighbors and, eventually, by the media.

Several expressed concern for their safety should they choose to contradict that narrative publicly. As one witness noted, there were signs in the neighborhood reading “snitches get stitches.”

The fear experienced by witnesses to the incident is a constant refrain in the DOJ report. Witness 102 (numbers are used to identify the witnesses rather than names) is described as a “27-year-old bi-racial male.” The report describes why witness 102 left the scene a few minutes after the shooting:

Witness 102 did not stay on Canfield Drive long after the shooting, but rather started to leave the area after about five minutes because he felt uncomfortable. According to Witness 102, crowds of people had begun to gather, wrongly claiming the police shot Brown for no reason and that he had his hands up in surrender. Two black women approached Witness 102, mobile phones set to record, asking him to recount what he had witnessed. Witness 102 responded that they would not like what he had to say. The women responded with racial slurs, calling him names like “white m*f*er.”

Witness 102 eventually presented himself to authorities because he was worried “witnesses would not come forward to tell the truth in this case because of community pressure.” The nature of that community pressure is made clear in the remainder of the report. Witness 103—a 58-year-old black male—”expressed concerns because there were signs in the neighborhood of Canfield Drive stating, “snitches get stitches.”

Darren Wilson should never have lost his job over this. He was forced out because this country is being run by community agitators and racists. It’s a shame the hell this man has had to go through just because he was doing his job. Michael Brown got what he deserved.

Obvious to us from the start, you could watch the narrative growing by the minute.

Now they've got to find a new way to spin it.

Were they made afraid to snitch against themselves by those who say “Don’t be snitches”?

Are you kidding. Wilson is now free to move out of that craphole and live in a decent community. He could easily get a job elsewhere.

I agree with that but it never would have turned into such a circus if it wasn’t for the racebaiters in Washington. I only wish Darren Wilson well.

I sympathize with those witnesses who were too scared to testify.

Myself, I am embarrassed to say that I am not a very brave person, so I don't know what I would do if I was caught up in the same terrible situation.

My immediate thought would be this one: What terrible things could happen to my family if I testified publicly that the "Hands Up. Don't shoot" story was not correct?

If I am ever caught up in such a dangerous situation, I hope that God gives me the courage to follow my conscience and tell the truth, no matter how painful it would be to do so.

This story was buried by the media and those in authority. Black lives do not matter unless money are power is involved.

Snitches bet stitches, but . . .

Liars set fires. Ferguson, MO, had a lot of fires thanks to the professional racists on the left.

Darren Wilson should sue all the major news networks for airing such crap - and go after Sharpton, DOJ, and Jackson for provoking that agenda...like another Freeper on here said about another post - we must picket the News MSM - go after them and stop wasting our time on worthless politicians....

That “Happy” idiot briefly admitted that the facts didn’t support “hands up, don’t shoot,” but it didn’t stop him from doing it at the Grammys.

The “Hands up, don’t shoot” narrative was a head fake from the beginning, and the fear and intimidation enforced by the hotheads in the community was really the only thing that kept it going.

Michael Brown was attempting an around the shoulders flying tackle of the police officer Darren Wilson, but in his state of diminished judgment, miscalculated the distance involved and the very long risk he was taking. Kind of like facing a charging bear.

Is it possible that under Eric “the” Holder’s witness protection programs that resettlement actually means you really disappear never to be seen nor heard of or from again, as in a Dead-end one-way ticket to paradise? Maybe stitches for snitches was a very humane program;)

“snitches get stitches.”

This attitude would not last in a culture that supported armed self defense by honest citizens.

Incredible. If Holder was truly interested in improving race relations, he would be front and center on these findings. Instead, he’s shifted to a new issue in Ferguson....the police are racist.

He is only interested in insisting white people are racist, not the other way around.
