It’s too late for mere moralism to do any good. The foundation — heartfelt faith in God — has become an endangered phenomenon.
How many people who complain about the absence of God among us are looking as hard at themselves as at their faithless neighbors? You can’t share a gospel you never embraced.

but its still hard to fathom what went wrong in USA, given we have more pastors priests ministers reverends bishops elders rabbis and deacons ... and churches.... than almost anywhere on earth.
and radio and televangelists galore (some quite good and Biblical)
