Fingerprint, photograph all attendees, seize phones

In a deliberate “show of force,” federal and local police forces raided a political meeting in Texas, fingerprinting and photographing all attendees as well as confiscating all cell phones and personal recording devices.

Members of the Republic of Texas, a secession movement dedicated to restoring Texas as an independent constitutional republic, had gathered Feb. 14 in a Bryan, Texas, meeting hall along with public onlookers. They were debating issues of currency, international relations and celebrating the birthday of one of their oldest members. The group, which describes itself as “congenial and unimposing,” maintains a small working government, including official currency, congress and courts.

They should have had some illegal aliens in attendance so the Feds would leave them alone.

Happy Texas Independence Day to all my fellow Texans.

But in mosques across the country, they advocate the violent overthrow of the government with impunity.

What will you do when they come knocking? This is but the beginning. And we’re being quiet so as not to risk anything. To speak out against this would put our status quo at risk, and so we remain quiet, and will remain quiet until it is far too late.

Tactical error on their part. They should rename their group as Sharia Secessionists and be granted tax exempt status.

That’s OK. It’s not political, say, like endorsing a candidate. That might threaten their tax exemption.

I look forward to the raiding of the Sharia Zones in Texas.

The local sheriff initiated the raid. These guys were issuing legal papers from a court they established. They were asking for it.

Interesting that they use their own currency.
Wonder if the stores in town there accept it or a means of barter between members?

I wonder, do the feds raid Aztlan meetings? You know, the Latino group that wants to form it’s own Latino country using 8 if the states and form it’s own government? I mean, they have demonstrations, meetings, protests, and they are officially listed as a non-profit group. I’m not condoning these folks in Texas, but, the feds set a standard when they sanctioned Aztlan

Meanwhile here in NY several counties near the Pa. border are talking secession from NY state! Seems our governor Cue Mo does not like fracking for oil. I live in Buffalo, Erie county, and wouldn’t mind if we seceded and joined Erie County Pa. One big happy Erie family so to speak. :-))

I propose a compromise between Pennsylvania and New York state. We'll (PA) give Erie, Pa (the city proper) to NY. NY gets to keep Buffalo (the city proper), but the rest of Erie County, NY can join PA. To sweeten the pot, PA will throw in all of Lackawanna County in the eastern part of the state. NY can have that for free. Geez, while we are at it. PA should give NJ all of Philadelphia.
