You obviously have never been in a position to hire someone in a critical position. I have. This is not unusual at all. Sometimes the hiring process can take months and involve multiple interviews and visits before the ultimate decision can be made.
You think you've found something profound that proves something negative about Apple. You haven't. There was a similar article about Google's hiring practices about a year ago. Most major corporations have similar practices. You are just demonstrating your delusions again. Apple is considered one of the best places to work. ". . . grinding people down" your rear end.
