FreeKentHovind.com is reporting that Mr. Hovind was moved to an isolation cell yesterday (7 by 9 cell shared by 2 people) in Santa Rosa County Jail. He has to sleep on the floor and he no longer has phone access (he granted several interviews to the alternative media by phone last week). Supporters are asking people to call the jail (850)983-1100 and ask why he is in isolation and if he can be moved out of isolation into a dorm with phone access. - See more at: http://healthimpactnews.com/2015/should-creation-teacher-spend-the-rest-of-his-life-in-

This clown is not in jail for teaching creationism. He’s in jail for mail fraud, tax fraud and various other crimes.

Al Sharpton has evaded Taxes for more that 1 million dollars and he has complete access to the White House. Sounds like this is a racist case. Or is it because he’s a Christian? I mean, it’s not like Al is a Christians, because he doesn’t act like one. So why is this guy in jail and Al Sharpton is the presidents best friend?

In this day and age....anyone who spends more than about ten minutes in jail unjustified, should contact the local law school and get a student at the law 101 level. Give him/her the golden opportunity to pay their way through school by filing lawsuits galore on your behalf.

Good grief, criminals, meth dealers, accused rapists, illegal aliens, fraudulent voters, whoever...walk the streets everyday and unless they are CONVICTED of something, that's the way we do it here...

” his ministry, Creation Science Evangelism, create a theme park called Dinosaur Adventureland.

“CSE and the park were the focus of Kent’s tax problems which earned him a long sentence in federal prison. He considered the ministry to be tax exempt and had taken a vow of poverty. He considered the people who worked there to be missionaries and paid them in cash without filing payroll tax returns. In his criminal prosecution, the greatest number of counts was for something called “structuring” – systematically keeping cash deposits and withdrawals below $10,000 to avoid currency reporting requirements.”

“Since the IRS could not tell whose money was whose, and the Hovinds apparently did not file at all, they were whipsawed – each being taxed on the whole amount. “

“Hovind now faces mail fraud charges in connection with the lis pendens filing on the real estate that the government had seized. “

I’ve actually met Hovind on a few occasions, discussed a variety of ideas with him, heard him speak perhaps a dozen times in the 90s, attended a few debates where he was quite brilliant in going up against evolution supporting professors and so forth. He always came across as an extremely engaged positive Christian, passionate about what he was doing and highly knowledgeable. When I look back at the last ten years in light of my impressions of the man, it seems completely bizarre that he is anywhere near a prison. Without knowing all the details about what the government’s case was, it’s hard to comment but it just doesn’t pass the smell test in light of knowing something about the guy.

There are plenty of FReepers who would like all creationists treated in a similar manner.

If Hovind is convicted, he will seem like a martyr.

He IS a martyr, no doubt, to conscience, which is the only conceivable motive for his whackadoodle enterprise.
