I saw that this morning and went looking for info on who was fighting in Syria. Interesting to note that we are on the same column as Al Qeada, Muslim Brotherhood, and a whole string of islamist groups.

This is what’s been happening for the past 3 years. Going in to help at this late date had no chance of success. They didn’t get the help they needed at the start, and they’ve slowly accepted more & more help from the islamists/terrorists.
