Jeb Bush Fails CPAC, Can’t Even Stack Straw Poll Successfully

NATIONAL HARBOR, Maryland — Republican voters rejected former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the straw poll, as he earned only 8 percent of the vote and came in fifth.

That came as, according to reports and several other campaigns, Bush attempted to rig the straw poll by busing in “supporters” from Washington, D.C., and K Street. So, after subtracting out those his campaign packed into the Gaylord hotel in National Harbor, his support among conservatives is even more smaller than it appears.

Bush faced a round of ridicule from pretty much everyone across the Republican Party, ranging from MSNBC host Joe Scarborough to Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Scarborough told Breitbart News in an interview at CPAC that the GOP nominee in 2016 needs to be a conservative and be able to turn out the conservative base—something that Bush is clearly having issues with. He adds if that doesn’t happen, then the party will lose in the general election.

Sen. Sessions, who at a Breitbart News meet-and-greet rebutted Bush’s support for amnesty right after Bush’s appearance on stage, said that even with all the money Bush is raising he needs to be able to win votes—something Bush showed at CPAC he’s currently unable to do among the Conservative base.

“I’ll tell you one thing: It’s the people of this country that run this country,” Sessions said. “Contributions and supporters are always important in presidential elections and other elections too, but votes trumps money.”

Time to say it: Jeb Bush is NOT ELECTABLE!

Without the support of conservatives he cannot win the presidency.

And if the Establishment continues to support Bush, it will be clear to us all (if it is not already) that their sole goal in pushing Bush would be to prevent a conservative from getting the nomination, and becoming president.

As always, the moderate republican Establishment would prefer a democrat to a conservative.

Pretty sad when you bus in supporters and still can’t make the top three.

Of course, the Paulbots were there in full farce to anoint their high leader.

As Dole, McCain & Romney all found out but GOPE types never learn.

I suspect that Jeb wanted it to go poorly so he could prove to his coalition of RINOs, that he wants to be his base, will know Jeb is NOT conservative.

I didn’t expect jeb to do well, but I expected cruz to do better than third. I was surprised by that.

I was surprised to hear Scarborough get it right.

It’s similar to the rarer “less greater”.

jebbush is running as a spoiler. He might as well be a paid operative for Hitlery.
He’s sucking up a lot of money that could be used for a viable conservative candidate. This money will be used to viciously attack his conservative competitors and undermine the nominee if jebbush isn’t the winner.
His contributors know that if jebbush wins the nomination, he will surely lose the presidential election because even fewer conservatives will vote for the lesser of two evils when the circumstances are so dire, and the differences between Hitlery and jebbush are so small.

Rand Paul wins a lot of these but certainly isn’t going to be the nominee. I don’t think the CPAC straw poll means diddly squat about any candidate.

The biggest thing to come from CPAC this year is the overall weakness of Jeb Bush. He can’t win the presidential election next year against Hillary. He has no conservative, grassroots support and without them he has no shot in November, 2016. Just to be a viable candidate in the primaries and caucuses he needs every RINO vote out there, and in those states that allow open voting, a ton of Democrat crossovers who will gladly vote for him in the winter and spring of 2016 and abandon him in the fall campaign for Hillary. You know the Bush clan is very concerned about Jeb’s poor showing so far.

The whole statement is pretty messed up. No true conservative can honestly support Bush ahead of any other potential candidate.
