Netanyahu is coming to Washington next week because Obama left him no choice

t is hard to get your arms around the stubborn determination of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today. For most of the nine years he has served as Israel’s leader, first from 1996 to 1999 and now since 2009, Netanyahu shied away from confrontations or buckled under pressure. He signed deals with the Palestinians he knew the Palestinians would never uphold in the hopes of winning the support of hostile US administrations and a fair shake from the pathologically hateful Israeli media.

In recent years he released terrorist murderers from prison. He abrogated Jewish property rights in Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria. He agreed to support the establishment of a Palestinian state west of the Jordan River. He agreed to keep giving the Palestinians of Gaza free electricity while they waged war against Israel. He did all of these things in a bid to accommodate US President Barack Obama and win over the media, while keeping the leftist parties in his coalitions happy.

For his part, for the past six years Obama has undermined Israel’s national security. He has publicly humiliated Netanyahu repeatedly.

>>SNIP<<

And yet, today Netanyahu, the serial accommodator, is putting everything on the line. He will not accommodate. He will not be bullied. He will not be threatened, even as all the powers that have grown used to bringing him to his knees – the Obama administration, the American Jewish Left, the Israeli media, and the Labor party grow ever more shrill and threatening in their attacks against him.

Hope he brings his full security team because I have a feeling The One would love for him to have an unfortunate fatal “accident”

He's in good hands.

“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,” let Israel say;
“they have greatly oppressed me from my youth,
but they have not gained the victory over me.
Plowmen have plowed my back
and made their furrows long.
But the Lord is righteous;
he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.”
May all who hate Zion
be turned back in shame.
May they be like grass on the roof,
which withers before it can grow;
a reaper cannot fill his hands with it,
nor one who gathers fill his arms.
May those who pass by not say to them,
“The blessing of the Lord be on you;
we bless you in the name of the Lord.”

There’s no room at the White House Inn for the Jooz as long as the Obamatollah is running the show.

The captains of Team Evil have been against Netanyahu since day one.

Will probably be on c-span @ cspan.org—you can view it there, or on the cable TV channels.

FoxNews will probably carry it live.

After it is done, it will be on YouTube.com for sure.

Tuesday, March 3rd. Time —not sure—may be withheld for security reasons until the speech date..

BEFORE any invitation by Congress for Netanyahu to speak there ... Netanyahu was ALREADY SCHEDULED to be here in the USA at AIPAC, and he was ALREADY going to talk about Iran in Washington DC!

There was NO FORCING of Netanyahu by Obama, because Obama left him no choice ... LOL ...

SOMEONE has their facts ALL WRONG here.

AGAIN, Netanyahu was ALREADY SCHEDULED to be in Washington DC long before anything about Congress came up ... and it was for this EXACT SAME TIME!! Netanyahu always tries to make it to AIPAC! ... and NO CONGRESSIONAL INVITATION NEEDED!!

This article raises some interesting questions.

For example, if Netanyahu has been so single-mindedly opposed to Iran’s developing nuclear weapons, why hasn’t he prevented it from doing so?

Two previous Israeli prime ministers have destroyed nuclear weapons facilities in other Arab countries — Menachem Begin in Iraq and Ehud Olmert in Syria.

Concerning the Syrian attack, according to Wikipedia, in 2007, ‘’after realizing that the U S was not willing to take its own military action, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert decided to adhere to the 1981 Begin Doctrine and unilaterally strike to prevent a Syrian nuclear weapons capability.’’

There were no serious anti-Israel repercussions from those attacks, which prevented the blood-thirsty Saddam Hussein and Syrian president Bashar al-Assad from gaining nuclear weapons capability.

So why hasn’t Bibi Netanyahu, also knowing that the U.S. under Obama has no intention of taking military action against Iran, not taken it upon himself, as his predecessors have in similar situations, to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities?

As for Iran being the chief funding source of Israel’s enemy Hamas, that wouldn’t be a problem if Netanyahu had eliminated Hamas as a serious threat during last summer’s war by fighting on instead of caving in to a ceasefire before the job had been done.

No wonder Netanyahu is having trouble with his re-election bid. Every Israeli cabinet member from every position on the Israeli political spectrum was opposed to the ceasefire, since they did not want Israel’s citizens to have to go through yet another major rocket siege from Gaza. Yet, alone, Netanyahu gave in.

And as for Iran’s funding of Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel’s Golan Heights, Netanyahu could eliminate that threat simply by fighting back.

Israel’s, and the U.S.’s, problems with Iran will not be solved by Netanyahu’s acceptance of an invitation to speak to a joint session of Congress. Congress cannot help defeat Iran; Obama, who has become a major supporter of Iran, will certainly not defeat it either. Only Netanyahu by acting like previous Israeli prime ministers in similar dangerous situations can defeat Iran.

But will he do so? If the past is prologue, no.
