The optics look really bad without the House sending something to the Senate. If I were Speaker I'd try and send a bill that required Senate go to conference - that would make them look bad if they failed to agree - what say you?
How does that work - 51 votes via conference - is that why the Rats won’t agree?
Senate just approved 1 week funding for DHS.
But Reid won’t let a conference happen.
That’s why I like this House Freedom Conference idea.
The best option is to approve the original house bill in the Senate via the nuclear option and lay it on Obama’s desk. Why wont the Republicans do this?

DHS should be shut down enough so that Obama cannot play his games with our immigration system.
Even if the entire Agency was denied funding all essential personnel will be going to work anyway.Only the non-essential paper-pushers will be staying home.
