When the best interest of children collides with their personal wants, the best interest of the children goes right out the window. It’s very clear to me that saying “It’s for the children” is totally unrelated to any concern about kids at all and just an argument that is used because it sounds good to further their agenda.

I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve heard adults claim they are divorcing “for the children.” Haven’t ever heard that from a kid.
