Not much. According to Hannity, 80% of DHS employees will continue working as normal. Of course Obama will probably use the old “lay off cops and teachers first” strategy, and shut down the border patrol.

the Coast Guard was transferred to DHS back in 2003, so coast guard personnel will not be paid. Apparently, retirees won’t get their pay either, after the 27th.

cnn noted that all the house democrats voted against the bill along with 50 republicans. cnn noted that the house democrats want to force the republicans hand to vote for a bill funding the dhs for the full fiscal year.
