A gunman killed seven people and wounded an eighth person in an overnight house-to-house rampage in a small Missouri town before apparently committing suicide in a vehicle, authorities said Friday.

Yes. That was a neurotic move on the part of the publication. Giffords is thousands of miles and a culture away from the tragedy.
We tell all of our estate planning clients that the directive is one of the best things you can do for your grieving family years in the future. It takes a horrible decision out of their hands at the time they’re least able to think rationally.

Especially’if they blame any one person for some role in it. Some people have to have a person to focus their anger and hate on, there needs to be a tangible persnmthey can hate and go after.
Speculation:
Son comes home to find mother dead.
Appears mother was left alone.
Nearby relative could not be bothered to look after her and since the result ended in her death, son sought retribution against negligent relatives.

Sounds like one of the victims survived being shot. Sounds like the gunman was Crazy.
Journalturds won’t use the word “murderer”. And they nearly always include the criminal filth as one of the victims.
