The U.S. Treasury Department has rebuffed a request by House Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan, R- Wis., to explain $3 billion in payments that were made to health insurers even though Congress never authorized the spending through annual appropriations.

My mother went to Cabelas this morning looking for .22 cartridges for my boys. They shoot 1000-1500 rim fire per week during practice so it takes all we can find to keep them going.
They didn’t get any today but she called to ask if we needed any .223/5.56 because they had a couple of skids of them. I told her we didn’t and she said nearly every man that walked back there carried a box out (300 in plastic boxes) of .223. This has been going on for 2 years at least.

Doesn’t Congress appropriate funds to the Treasury? Surely,there are remedies available?
What the hell is going on with congress? Is there not a spine left in either chamber. Both the house and senate have the power to imprison anyone who will not respond to their subpoena power.
