There's a lot of blurring that happens with the Bureau of Labor Statistics' monthly jobs report, the splashy release that drives headlines about the unemployment rate and (recently at least) the gains in the job market. One example is that the figures are seasonally adjusted, to offer a comprehensible baseline month-over-month instead of always having to explain that employment always spikes in June and at the end of the year.
It's blurry in a more important way, too. Reporting that unemployment in January was at 5.7 percent (a tick upward from December's figure) tells us a lot about the economy. But the unemployment varies by demographic, which tells us a lot about the economy, too.
Since the government started tracking unemployment data by race, the unemployment rate for black Americans has never been lower than that of white Americans. In fact, it has never been less than 66 percent higher -- i.e. it's never been close. In the newest jobs report, blacks are the only demographic group besides teenagers with an unemployment rate over 10 percent.

When it comes to Obama, blacks have a blind spot. So, no matter what the statistics show, most blacks will respond with a loud and clamorous “BS, it is all whites fault”.
It’s going to get worse with all the illegals. A lot of young blacks need to gain some form of work experience but that’s not happening under Obama and it’s less likely to happen with his amnesty program for illegals.
Yes and of course the Gay white liberal knights like Tim Cook aren’t opening any factories in Ferguson Missouri. Its not just leftists but they are the biggest hypocrites on this because they claim to care and feel the pain and believe in redistribution of wealth to the poor but what they are saying is you aren’t fit to work for me in the capacity of an employee so I’ll make sure you have some food stamps, free health care, and a welfare check and I’ll even make sure you can sign a contract to get the latest iphone made by the new Chinese middle class.

If Republicans were smart they would attack Democrats where they are vulnerable. Why do urban liberal get to “choose” good private schools for their kids while herding urban blacks for three generations into union controlled hellholes pretending to be schools? Why do the liberals locate their abortion clinics in minority neighborhoods? How much have the liberals paid “black leaders’ like Sharpton and Jackson over the years. Obama got 95% of the black vote. Perhaps by asking these questions might knock it down to 75% which would make a difference.
I was watching a video tonight and one guy said we’re already in a depression. The other guy said when we think of depression we think of soup kitchens and people living on the street. The other guy pointed out that there are lots of soup kitchens and 100 million people on welfare. That’s why it doesn’t look like a depression.

obozo could campaign on literally repealing the 13th Amendment and reestablishing slavery and he would still get 90+% of the Black vote.
