Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declined on Tuesday an invitation to meet with US Senate Democrats during his trip to Washington next week.
"Though I greatly appreciate your kind invitation to meet with Democratic Senators, I believe that doing so at this time could compound the misperception of partisanship regarding my upcoming visit," Netanyahu wrote in a letter to Senators Richard Durbin and Dianne Feinstein obtained by Reuters.
Durbin and Feinstein had invited Netanyahu to a closed-door meeting with Democratic senators in a letter on Monday.

Oh man I can’t wait for Bibi’s speech. It won’t be one of those diplomatic, cross your t’s and dot your i’s kind of speech. Bibi will no doubt point out the threat Iran poses to the world and reiterate the folly of giving the regime there nuclear capabilities. Don’t think the Dems aren’t gripping big time over this and will do everything to minimize the speech and its impact.
