Judge Moore explained the law, Mr. Bentley.

So did the Germans when they were told to turn in the Jews.
To Obey a law, it must first have moral authority. This law has no such moral authority. In fact, it is the very opposite.
Our system of laws only works because people have been trained to obey them by the Judeo-Christian beliefs taught them when they were young.
With the decline in such beliefs, we are about to find out how much respect people will have for laws when laws do not exhibit any moral authority, but merely a threat of punishment. As Edmund Burke pointed out:
The use of force alone is but temporary. It may subdue for a moment; but it does not remove the necessity of subduing again: and a nation is not governed, which is perpetually to be conquered.
Any country with legal abortion and homo marriage is on a bad road. Hard not to see parallels with other failed states.
As the article indicates, laws based on the laws of God are the only just laws. All others are unjust. Alabama’s laws regarding marriage conform to God’s laws, so they are just. The feds are attempting to impose judicial tyranny with this unjust law.
And it’s not as if some beneficial or even neutral effect will result. God is not mocked. His wrath will fall on the state of Alabama along with all other states that are willfully disobedient to Him and therefore call Him a liar. If we succumb to this tyranny, we deserve the Divine wrath that will inevitably come with it. So those that say that this abomination doesn’t “hurt” us are uttering a damnable lie. In reality, it will hurt all of us.
In the 42 years since Roe and Doe, NO governor has ever declared that he will not obey the illegal, immoral commands from the Supreme Court.
Many governors have been Catholic, and the teaching of the Catholic Church is that immoral commands MUST be obeyed. That was also one of the basic principles of the Nuremburg trials.
Congress, the convoluted courts system and the worthless piece of trash that squats in the White Hut are complicit in allowing society to sink into the quicksand that is immorality.

Somebody have some dirt on him?
Bentley, a former deacon and Sunday School teacher at a Baptist Church..
wimp in chief.
no dirt needed. feds come and arrest the governor for any charge they want. nobody will stand up for a courageous governor and nobody will stand up to the feds.
States have the right to nullify actions by an out of control central government.
