Well, I’m not a Walker-hater, but as a social conservative I’m not convinced that he is willing to take the arrows necessary when the times get tough. As far as 2008 and 2012, the biggest enemies of social conservatives are liberal Republicans. Give me someone who respects my views, and I will not only vote for him, but donate to him, and work for him. Take your McCains and Romneys elsewhere.
Why doesn’t come out and buck the GOPe and be against amnesty of any kind? Why? It is a popular position and he would shore up the base. He has a little time but if he waits he will sound disingenuous.
