In January, four young men sitting in a stolen car were gunned down in a trendy neighborhood near City Hall. Ten days later, a mother was shot dead outside her home in front of her three children. In another, a blood-spattered woman staggered into a restaurant seeking help for bullet wounds, and a man was found shot dead in an SUV outside.
With the homicide count climbing to 11, fears and tensions have been stoked between those coming to the city for high-paying jobs and longtime residents in neighborhoods that were once predominantly minority. Most of the murder victims were young black men, and police are investigating their ties to gangs. …

Ah, they have a new euphism - “young men”. I guess “teens” and “youths” is now too obvious as to who the perps might be.
But they don’t allow guns there, how could this be???
They should be investigating their ties to Sunday school classes and the California Scholarship Federation.
Just have the Board of Stuporvisors declare the city a Gun Free Zone. Problem solved.

I hate watching my ancestral home (5 generations) being slowly burned down by idiots.
4 men gunned down in a STOLEN car, 1 woman shot in front of her kids at home and 2 shot in front of a restaurant, total of 7 dead ==VERY GOOD(only 7) night in Chicago.
Stone and Keller would never run out of customers.
