[Freeper Requesting Prayers for Daughter] Prayers please. Daughter lost phone overseas
me

Posted on 02/22/2015 5:31:35 AM PST by Suz in AZ

Need prayers for a miracle. My daughter is overseas and lost her phone. She's going to retrace her path in the morning to try and find it. She needs a miracle, not just to find the phone, but to help increase/renew her faith in God and in miracles.

I believe there is power in numbers and hope you would pray in her behalf today. Her name is Hayley. Thanks.

Better summon Saint Anthony, he’s the one with the task of finding lost stuff.

Hope you daughter is safe, phones can be replaced.

My grandaughter found her phone using Find My Phone—she used her mother’s phone and called her lost phone’s number-—her own phone rang in the place where she left it—it advised the person who heard it ringing that it was lost and gave a number to call-my grandaughter took the call and was told where her phone was.

I was astonished,to say the least.

Thank you. I realize it’s not the end of the world but it’s also an opportunity for her faith to be renewed.

It's not the end of the world.

I lost my phone in Dubai. It fell out of my pocket in a taxi and by the time I realized it was missing, the cab was long gone.

***THE FIRST THING SHE NEEDS TO DO*** is contact her provider and tell them she lost her phone. That way, they can suspend service. This needs to happen immediately.

Using her passport, she can then do what I did; go buy a cheap, pay by the minute phone for communication while she's traveling or until her provider can get a replacement phone mailed to her.

There seem to be a few find my phone apps. Who makes the one you used?

In my opinion, prayers are not meant for such things as finding a lost cell phone.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

That’s a reason for unkindness?

Father in Heaven, I ask that the girl find her cell phone or be granted the wisdom of how to proceed next. In Jesus name...Amen!(let it be so!)

Really? And all these years I thought God was omnipotent.

He is. Man made a choice in the Garden not to trust or believe God. He gave man over to their choice. But it will end in God's time.

My grandaughter used it and I haven’t a clue-—call one of your daughter’s friends. The kids know all of that stuff.

I’ll say a prayer to St. Anthony for her.

That’s certainly an option but the poster said her daughter has maps and info that she needs on that phone.

Why don’t you tell us which country she’s in? I dare say that there are people here on FR with expertise on just about every place in Asia. Some FReepers even live over there. So if you’d be more specific, you might get helpful info.

Also, if any part of her trip was purchased with a major credit card, the loss of the phone may be covered by the card issuer’s “automatic” insurance. So call the card issuer ASAP today and ask what they can do for you.
