[Freeper Requesting Prayers for Daughter] Prayers please. Daughter lost phone overseas
me

Posted on 02/22/2015 5:31:35 AM PST by Suz in AZ

Need prayers for a miracle. My daughter is overseas and lost her phone. She's going to retrace her path in the morning to try and find it. She needs a miracle, not just to find the phone, but to help increase/renew her faith in God and in miracles.

I believe there is power in numbers and hope you would pray in her behalf today. Her name is Hayley. Thanks.

It’s sad you feel that way because God DID “whip out a miracle” And her phone had been found and it’s safe. Never lose faith, miracles still happen. I’ve seen too many crazy things happen in this life to doubt that amazing things are possible.

I’m also graceful for so many kind people who pressured for my daughter, although it may have sensed trivial to some.

Thank you to those who prayed for my daughter. Best wishes to all and hugs all around!

Prayers for you daughter Hayley, and that she can safely find her phone, and that she can find peace no matter the outcome. But most of all, that she will come to know Jesus.

Funny - in church today we were talking about “storing up treasures” and one guy mentioned how stressed he was without his phone one day last week, even though he knew he had just left it at his house.

Granted, being overseas it is even more stressful. Whether it is found, or lost for good, I hope that she can see the bigger things.

Heh - NOW I read through all the posts and see that she found it - GREAT! (What a relief, save a lot of hassles).

So what is the story!!??

BTW - I didn’t so much leave my phone places, but doing work it would always fall out of a pocket, the belt clip would break, etc. I wear mine on a lanyard around my neck and then into my front shirt pocket. (Harder for a gal to do that I suppose.)

What a great story. So true. Funny, our church was all on Faith and miracles today.

I got word less than an hour ago that the phone it’s found and untouched. This will be a learning experience in Faith, prayer and personal responsibility.

Thank you for your prayers :-)

“So what is the story!!??”

Not terribly exciting. There was a friend at a building she was at who saw she left her phone, picked it up and kept it safe but it took a while to let her know they had it. Fortunately this person was there and noticed.

I’m sure she will be much more careful in the future. Wisdom is a valuable commodity because it can be very expensive to obtain. ;-)

My how strange...

God says “in everything - let your requests be known” and He means it..

Hi, just getting a chance to really read this thread (saw it last night..ironically on my phone - too small and too late at night to read! - so said a quick prayer), so I see Hayley has her phone back. whew!

I had a daughter overseas last Fall...she ended up with some pretty traumatic issues that if she HAD lost her phone, it would have been just "one more thing". BUT, I certainly know the feeling of helplessness and concern for a daughter overseas, no matter the issue. Big or small, God is there to help if asked.

God bless :)

"I’ll say a prayer to St. Anthony for her."

Me, too, and to her Guardian Angel. God be with you and your family and give you peace.

Compassion is our friend. Remember two parents who were worried sick about their Son? Luke, 2:

41 - And his parents went every year to Jerusalem, at the solemn day of the pasch,

42 - And when he was twelve years old, they going up into Jerusalem, according to the custom of the feast,

43 - And having fulfilled the days, when they returned, the child Jesus remained in Jerusalem; and his parents knew it not.

44 - And thinking that he was in the company, they came a day's journey, and sought him among their kinsfolks and acquaintance.

45 - And not finding him, they returned into Jerusalem, seeking him.

46 - And it came to pass, that, after three days, they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, hearing them, and asking them questions.

47 - And all that heard him were astonished at his wisdom and his answers.

48 - And seeing him, they wondered. And his mother said to him: Son, why hast thou done so to us? behold thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

49 - And he said to them: How is it that you sought me? did you not know, that I must be about my father's business?

50 - And they understood not the word that he spoke unto them.

No crow here. I’m glad she found her phone, but in order for us to eat crow you would have us believe she would have not have found her phone had it not been for this thread. You can believe that it you want, but I do not believe for a second that divine intervention had anything to do with it. If posting this thread made mom feel better about the whole thing, great, but I have not changed my position on the appropriateness of the post and will certainly not be eating any crow.
