Columnist Pat Buchanan said that while the White House’s summit on violent extremism didn’t do anything “ISIS is not an existential threat to the United States of America” on Friday’s “McLaughlin Group.”
“I don’t think the summit did a thing, John. But let me say this, ISIS is not an existential threat to the United States of America. If it’s a threat over there, it’s to the Sunni countries, and they’re going to have to man up and deal with it, and provide the troops without whom there’s going to be no victory” he stated.

According to a CBS news report tonight, there is a new video of ISIS saying they are going to hit American malls. They named the Mall of America in Minn., one in Canada, plus Oxford Street in London (not a mall). The FBI is studying that film tonight.
Perhaps Pat would volunteer to go to the Mall of America every day to prove ISIS is not going to hurt him.
ISIS, the State of Islam, and all their other names, want to behead Christians. I am a Christian and yes, I know they would behead or burn us because they have already done that to Christians. Pat is wrong.

This is the same thing I heard about Al Queda. Except there have been no attacks, except by lone wolf types.
The oligarchs are just itching for a new war. When there are multiple attacks by these “sleeper cells” I will believe you and join you in advocating a response.

Regardless of whether ISIS is an existential threat, a grave threat, a strategic threat, or a so-so threat, they can and do kill Americans and aspire to kill all who won’t convert to Islam. Pat’s willing to sound like a complete craven solipsist to protect his own brand of pansy pacifism and crackpot isolationism. In his own way, Pansy Pat, as an persistent arrogant apologist for all of America’s foes and a basher of Israel, is an existential threat as grave as ISIS. He’s a leader of the Putinista paradoxical sophists who can call Putin a Christian without noting his crimes in Russia and to its neighbors. He buttresses the ahistorical moron voters with rationales for their own cowardice.
