All that’s been adequately demonstrated concerning “global warming” or “climate change” or any of the other terms used is that humans will fight for or against any idea no matter how preposterous if the price is right...
Offer money in form of grants, status in the form of advancing professional standing and recognition among colleagues, promotions if you’ll back your superiors even when they’re wrong, power to control every activity of the global population, etc. and any “theory” can be advanced...Somebody with a PhD will step up and say “I can do that for you!” And the far too credulous public too easily accepts the pronouncements of the credentialed simply because they’re credentialed...A PhD in economics or sociology does not qualify one as an expert on climate science...Yet many of the so-called “scientists” who’ve scrambled to sign on to the various letters warning of the dire consequences for life on Earth if we don’t all go dark have no grounding in any hard science at all!
Since the beginning of “science”, there have been sloppy practicioners (GIGO) willing to adopt a theory and work backwards to find the “proof” they need, and charlatans willing to advance any “theory” to please their master or patrons...Today, too many in science have set aside the search for the truth in favor of advancing a political position and/or direct personal gain as above...
For the last 4.5 billion years the Earth has been bathed in the radiant energy of the closest variable star, and Earth with it’s tilted axis, eccentric orbit, precession of seasons, plate tectonics, land masses that rise and fall, shifting ocean currents, etc. has alternated from ice ball to steaming tropical climate worldwide for no reason?
But now it’s the burning of fossil fuels, that’s causing the current “change”?
I’m looking out my window here in Denver at the blizzrd that’s burying my driveway wishing for a bit of “global warming”...I think I’ll probably have to wait for May...

That article kills any thought of planetary warming from any cause. Think about it. If there is absolutely no sign of an acceleration of sea level rise how could the planet be warming? The rise in sea level in the last 100 years is far less than the average over the last 18,000 years caused by the inter-glacial period we are in.

Maybe they would have more credibility if:
They hadn’t been wrong about EVERY environmental crisis they have screamed about since the 70’s.
They hadn’t politicized science to promote leftist causes and attack capitalism and free enterprise. Notice how every environmental problem is coincidentally caused by things the left opposes.
They stopped hysterically overhyping the bad while never mentioning potential benefits. Do you really expect us to believe that CO2 will end life on earth in 50 years but you are still against nuclear power?
