Congressional Democrats are getting a little uncomfortable in the bed theyve made for themselves when it comes to Israel, and the latest round involves a letter thats been addressed to Speaker of the House John Boehner. They are requesting the Speaker put off the speech from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu until after the negotiations with Iran have expired. Of course, that is the primary reason why Netanyahu wants to speak with a joint session of Congress in the first place. Israel has the greatest stakes in the negotiations with Iran, but have been making accusations that the U.S. is freezing them out of the negotiations.
...
Perhaps the Democrats that are so incensed by the concept of possibly having to alienate Jewish constituents that may not support them in the future if they do not show up for Netanyahus speech should have done their homework on Iran before starting this.
...
Irans supreme ruler has clearly stated that he is determined to see his nation get everything nuclear weapons to destroy Israel, and an end to the sanctions from the west. The truth probably is that the Democrats are worried about the possibility of Netanyahu convincing not only their colleagues in congress, but also the American voters that there is no way to win negotiating with Iran.

“Netanyahus speech before Congress will educate and inspire the American people to the reality of the Islamic jihadist threat. It will be a stark contrast to Obamas delusional illogical policies and painful rationalizations. It has the potential to have the same historical effect that Churchills Missouri iron curtain speech had in 1946. Obama usually doubles down after he is rebuked but even if he signs his historic agreement with the mad mullahs, it will look silly and bizarre.”
You could be right. Churchill tried to get America to see the big picture, not just her own current myopic interests. Bib could have the same plan.
I just hope the speech is not stonewalled by the MSM. If so, hopefully it will go viral on the internet.
Me too. Let me know if you hear where it will be televised, please.
That was a great speech too. He’s got the ability and passion, no doubt. I even have to strangely appreciate Boehner for growing a pair at this late date. This speech wouldn’t be happening if he hadn’t invited Netanyahu AND not asked the White House’s permission. He acted as one would expect the Speaker if the House to. I still find that amazing.
Excellent point.
I sure hope so.
“I got to know Yuri Bezmenov when I worked for a conservative think tank.”
Now that sounds like a fun job!
BTW, I have relocated, just in time to be snowed in and have the heater quit on a -8 night. Talk about an initiation! But I still love it here.
I was yorkiemom, but changed my screen name to reflect my complete life change, in rebelling against fascism by quitting supporting this regime financially and getting ready for what may.
aloendale made the great comparison; I just copied it ;)
Hi! Very good to hear from you. I hope you’re enjoying your new neck of the woods. (I won’t mention the area LOL)
I like your new screen name. Appropriate.
I’m sure the great majority of your neighbors in the “holler” are like minded.
They sure are! One neighbor came over, and I was asking about creating a shooting range but that I’m not very strong so need a special kind of gun that would be easy on my wrists. So he takes this cute little gun out of his pocket for me to look at. Then he shows me the one on his hip, that’s a 9mm.
The people here are certainly different from the ones I’ve met in mexifornia!
How have things been for you?
There was a guy in Walmart open carrying too.
I think we’ll be ready, should the need arise, LOL!
But they are also the nicest people. I’ve had a dinner invitation already, had 2 neighbors drop by to say welcome, and one brought eggs from her chickens and you can’t get out of a store without having a conversation. I also get called ‘sugar’ and ‘honey’ with the cutest accents. And I haven’t heard Spanish since I got here! There is an Angus bull right over the fence, and I get to hear mooing from his girls and roosters crowing instead.
of course, my timing was off and we had the worst storm in decades my first week here. But it wasn’t that bad, other than the heater quitting. But I got the woodstove going and the neighbor with guns in his pocket came over and fixed the heater. Two other neighbors called to see if I was ok. How sweet is that?
Glad to hear about your new start, former ym.
Good for you!
Other than the heater going out, it sounds like you’re off to a great start with great people. I’m happy for y’all.
Thanks for the nice update.
Thank you, exit.
I highly recommend anyone that can, quit feeding the fascist beast and quit paying taxes. And be prepared for come what may!
what did you exit from in 1982?
What exactly do we not already know? We know about the centrifuges, we know about the underground bunkers and labs. We know about the scientists that have been executed and those that have escaped. We have the public words of Iranian leadership. I could go on and on and on.
I am originally from NJ.
In NJ, you tell folks where you are from by the exit of the NJ Turnpike or the Garden State Parkway.
I was from Toms River, which is Exit 82 on the GSP.
It’s a Jersey thing.
Oh, that’s a cute way of getting a screen name. Do you have the Jersey accent?
It would be interesting to see a thread where posters explain their screen names. People here are so creative,
Accent?
Well, I’m in southern DE now.
They say I have an accent, but I KNOW they are the ones with the accent. ;)
“They say I have an accent, but I KNOW they are the ones with the accent. ;)”
but of course!
I LOVE accents. It’s great to be in Tennessee and hear the sweet southern drawl.
