We hear a lot about the United States' Judeo-Christian heritage, but according to President Obama, "Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding."

That's what the president told a White House conference on "countering violent extremism" on Wednesday.

Don’t you remember when the Pislims landed on the Black Rock of Plymouth? :-)

You haven't read the new "common core" history. It is replete with all of the great things that Islam has brought to the world...and the evils of Christianity.

Please, Jesus come quickly!

"Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding."

The same people who adamantly deny that the USA is or ever was a Christian nation - a claim that has a great deal of credibility - will give Obama a pass on this absurd claim concerning Islam's close ties with the USA.

The ONLY way that this claim could be taken seriously is to say that the country was founded on a strong Masonic basis, heavily influenced by Islam. But would the Left be willing to admit THAT conspiracy theory into the light of day?

The only Muslim influence in U.S. history was the war with the Barbary Pirates.

I would argue that Jan 20, 2009 was more significant.

He is exactly right.

And it's long past time we lit the fuse on a few of those ICBMs and put an end to their crap once and for all. Turn the whole ****ing sandbox into an ice skating rink.

Hockey for everyone!

Islam has been intertwined with the United States from the very early days - as a line in the Marine Corps Hymn “...to the shores of Tripoli...”

And why is that line in there? Because Thomas Jefferson took up arms against the Barbary Pirates, noted Islamic terrorists of their time.

And do not forget, the Islamic cult was key in trading captive African natives as slaves all over the world, THAT is the sum of their contribution to the colonization of North and South America.

I don’t recall reading that there were any Muslims on the Mayflower.

Good point. Columbus set sail searching for a new route to the Orient because Muzzie’s controlled the the Silk Road.

Don’t you get it? Oceania has ALWAYS been a war with
Eastasia...

Obama is just planting the seeds of future history,
if Islam has always been here, they have every right
to make this a muslim nation.

Here is one of the greatest contributions by a Muslim.

"1856 The United States cavalry hire a Muslim by the name of Hajji Ali to experiment with raising camels in Arizona."

From Here:
Islam 101

Sure it has, Barry. That's why the first "known and documented" mosque was in Ross, North Dakota in early 1900's by Lebanese Muslims followed by Polish-Tatar Muslims in Brooklyn in the 1920s.

But it doesn't surprise me since as a young boy, you received your education in Indonesia, not in America, and therefore have no loyalty to this nation or its actual history.

The interactions this country had with Islam began with Barbary pirate raids and one Mellimelli character who dined with Jefferson and had the audacity to request whores to sate his appetite. Ah yes, the splendour of mahomet in the US during the nineteenth century - reminiscing smelly-Melli.

The Kenyan bastard is partly correct. It was muslim slave traders and muslim tribes who captured and sold black slaves to the Europeans.

Of course the lying, POS pavement ape in chief has no slave history, only the slave selling history of his father’s Luo tribe.

Too late, they already invaded. Every major European city is primed to explode like Beirut.
