No, the Spirit must speak or an entirely wrong message comes across. I can vouch for this from my experience in my early walk which was finally corrected by the Holy Spirit. I tried to walk in the clever things I could do with the bible, oh I tried to be oh so “orthodox” and was forever stumbling over the contradictions that resulted.
You sound immature in the faith. Granted, the faith will always begin “knowing Jesus Christ in a worldly manner” however it will not end there.
I guess I would be immature compared to Moses and Ezekiel and Paul ... as I’ve only got 60 years and they’ve got a few thousand ... :-) ...
There are some more complex “spiritual issues” that will require prayer and diligent study — “to accept them” — but it’s always clear in the Bible what it SAYS ... and that very ordinary and normal language can be understood quite clearly.
Go to John 1:3
“All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.”
An ordinary reading of that yields exactly what it says.
Go to Colossians 1:16
“For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.”
If a person has trouble with understanding what it says there, they need to GO BACK TO READING SCHOOL ... LOL ...
THE PROBLEM that people have is NOT with knowing exactly what the Bible says, it’s with the “acceptance” of what it says. Everything else that someone says about it is NOTHING BUT ONE BIG EXCUSE ... AND NOTHING MORE!
So many try to use the bible the way a witch would use a spell book. Trying to damn you or put you under their spell.
Makes you wonder if someone has them under their spell.
You study the bible to learn the truth and the law, not for memorization in order to use it to show you are better than someone else or to bludgeon others with it. I just pray that everyone gets guided by the spirit to realize this, because only through the spirit will you gain the knowledge and the context of what is contained there.
The bible is God’s communication to man. Obviously at that time in history, man wasn’t prepared to have a literal download of the pure knowledge including all that you would have to know to comprehend the message of God.
Doing so would also remove all mystery and potentially destroy the will of man.
The way the message is delivered is compassionately. Some people lack the intelligence to understand that.
