Feds: America Should Adopt ‘Plant-Based’ Diet
Free Beacon ^ | February 20, 2015 | Elizabeth Harrington

The federal committee responsible for nutrition guidelines is calling for the adoption of “plant-based” diets, taxes on dessert, trained obesity “interventionists” at worksites, and electronic monitoring of how long Americans sit in front of the television.

The Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee (DGAC) released its far-reaching 571-page report of recommendations to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Thursday, which detailed its plans to “transform the food system.”

YAY. We can all buy North Korean cook books. They are experts of the culinary art of preparing weeds, tree bark, mud, and grass in to tasty dishes. A few more years of Obamunism is all we need. Fore-ward comrades!

When the plan is for government to _compel_ a particular diet, a revolt is in order.

Bingo. Or religion. Or marriage definition. Or anything else.

I don’t eat garbage that has been injected with hormones or is full of sugar. Sugar is So good but SOOO bad:) I do cardio and weights almost every day. I look 20 years younger than my age.

If people want to eat garbage or do whatever they want good for them. And it is nobody’s business but theirs.

What gripes me about this circle jerk group of “professionals” is that they are wasting money on this kind of clap trap. What REALLY gripes me is that this group exists and the entire stupid federal agency they work for.

Hey kids, want to comment on this? They were nice enough to leave a page for comments. Enjoy:

There is no reason to give any credence at all to the supposed geniuses who came up with this study-the same sort of “experts” came up with that bulls*** food pyramid that produced the obesity problem in the first place.

My ignorant, country female family members were preaching a diet of low carb, all natural and fresh food since way before I was born, and that is the way we ate-of course, it is easy to do that on the ranch/farm with your own fresh fruit and veggies and free range livestock. None of us are overweight to this day other than one or two that have succumbed to the unhealthy processed and grain-based diet.

I knew a few total vegans in college-that was popular among the airheads-and they were always running to a doc with some kind of ailment-they could not believe they were lacking basic needed nutrients found in MEAT.

I used Mc Dougall cookbooks until the kids hit 18 and confiscated the kitchen. But we ate meat for birthdays and holidays. I thought it worked fine. And it was very inexpensive.

DGAC: “transform the food system.”
UN Climate Change: ‘Intentionally Transform the Economic Development Model’
B.O.: “...fundamentally transforming the United States of America.”

The transformation is always from a state of “the individual decides for him/herself” to a state of “the central authority decides for the individual.”

You’ve been “indoctrinated” ... LOL ...

— — —

9 Scientific Facts Prove the “Theory of Evolution” is False

The Indoctrination System Called “Education”

The educational system teaches children not to think. Any student who uses logic and solid scientific evidence to question the Theory of Evolution is ridiculed and insulted into submission. The students who submit become non-thinking robots who dare not question the dogma presented.

A fourth-grade elementary school class was observed at the park playing a three-legged race game, where adjacent legs of the two kids were placed into a bag. The kids must cooperate with each step in order to run. The kids thought it was great fun. The teacher told them they were being trained to cooperate.

Actually, it was brainwashing kids into conforming to a system in which they are not allowed to have individual thoughts or opinions. They must become a “team player” and submit to peer pressure. Communist countries have used this same brainwashing technique for decades. The brainwashing of school children continues by teaching them there is no absolute right or wrong, and the teacher is absolutely positive about i.

Whatever the children think is right for them is OK. That is of course until they question evolution. They are then told they are wrong. This brainwashing results in children who are unable to think logically, scientifically, and accurately. (...)

Good idea. Once the bureaucrats and politicians have demonstrated the efficacy of such a diet after say, fifty years of rigorous field studies on themselves; I will consider following their suggestions.

I think intelligent design is how it went down here on Earth-not something random, but not a literal interpretation of Genesis, either. We sent our cub to private-Catholic-school because we wanted her to love God and actually learn to read, write, and reason...

I grew up with the Standard American Diet (SAD), was a scrawny kid then struggled with my weight from about age 17-22. I then decided that low-fat diet foods were wrong as God gave us real food, not low fat, and cooked that way for myself. The change in my health was crazy and despite eating what I wanted I lost 20 pounds easily. Even at 41 and after having 6 kids, I can eat red meat, butter on my veggies, drink whole milk and still wear a size 4. It is when money is tight and I start using beans for protein and less fat in our meals that my weight goes up.

Wish my mom had figured out what yours knew, it would have made my high school and college years much better!

Well, if you don’t take it as exactly what the Word of God says, then you’re dismissing several things that Jesus himself confirms, namely about Adam and Eve (as he relates their creation to the basis for marriage) and also about the judgement that God rendered (the worldwide flood), in that the conditions of mankind will be like the time of the Flood when he comes in judgement again.

Another way to put it, is that Jesus knew it was true, as the Bible says, and spoke that way in His time.

Jesus knew that not even “one jot or tittle” is in error in the Word of God. Whatever it says is exactly as it says.

Rush was talking about this-These a**holes are a bunch of freakin control freaks.

We need to tell EVERYONE about what these people really want-To monitor and control every single aspect of our lives.

Obacare is a perfect example of why you don't want government in charge.

It didn't fix anything- The same amount of people are uninsured- But now the government gets more money through the tax penalty. (Wonder how some of them will like having to give part of their EIC to the IRS?)

Before the DEMOCRAT PARTY voted to force the entire country into Obaacare (while exempting themselves from it)-no one had to buy insurance.(What will they force us to buy next?)

The government was not standing between you and your doctor-your medical care was a private matter. You had control over your own body.

Now your body is controlled by the government. The IRS will decide what treatment your doctor is "allowed" to give you. (And they will take money from you-though they provide you with nothing.)

When are people going to get mad about this?

God doesn’t indoctrinate ... but he does REVEAL everything that a person needs to know, in his Word.

When our Crestor God speaks (as He does in his word) He speaks from authority, as the one who made it all. We know that nothing God says is in error.

When a liberal teacher in a state-sponsored school speaks, we know that it’s a lie most of the time.

SO ... don’t be like the LIBERALS and Obama ... and deny God and His Word.

Hitler did all kinds of “health” stuff as well. Worship of the body instead of enrichment of the soul.

That was my first thought, Hitler was a vegetarian if I'm not mistaken. Policy-wise, The Dems of today have more in common with Hitler than with anyone.

I’m quite happy being a Catholic-we are all entitled to worship as we wish, and I will not argue about how any individual finds God, as long as they do find Him in a peaceful way-we would not be in a muslim country...

The flood is more than a story-it is well documented in several ancient books besides the Bible, as well as in the actual archaeological/scientific record-it is as factual as the explosion of the super volcano at Toba, or the bones of a woolly mammoth-but I do not see that it relates to what we are supposed to eat.
