What should happen is that each state should adopt a statute organizing a "Militia"--all able bodied citizens are members; they are all authorized to buy have hold use maintain and practice any kind of arms including but not limited to ammunition and weapons available to the United States Army.

Further provide that the state militia serves in various levels to be elected by the members; so you have household level members who have guns; you have community or local township members who are connected through a single officer; you then have county memberships; the county memberships report to the governors office.

Define the duties as state, local and community defense.

Further adopt nullification legislation by state statute depriving federal officials of legal power to execute federal laws.

That is step one to enforce the Second Amendment and prevent the federal government from using powers like the federal firearms acts to limit power to buy hold and use ammo of specific kinds and to use other regulatory provisions to limit the right of citizens to hold specific weapons.

Another set of statutes that is necessary is a gold and silver legal tender statute. Eliminate state transaction taxes on gold and silver and make gold and silver legal tender for all debts public and private; use an exchange value to convert dollar obligations.
