Obama To Allow "Moderate" Syrian Rebels Call In B-1B Bombers For Air Support

While Obama desperately tries to stick to his now crushed "Nobel peace prize winner" image, by not succumbing to an all-out land war in the one nation where his progressive "pacifism" brought him fame (and according to some, the presidency), namely Iraq, the rest of militant, "interventionist" US foreign policy is rapidly starting to resemble that waged by the most brutally rabid, neo-con Republican leader. Case in point an absolute stunner reported minutes ago by the WSJ, according to which the White House has decided to provide pickup trucks equipped with mounted machine guns and radios for calling in U.S. airstrikes to some moderate Syrian rebels aided by American B-1B bombers!

"I get the feeling that Obama is trying to clear the deck for Iran to dominate the Middle East region."

Baathist is the political party that Assad belongs to but he is an Alawite in regards to religion. The Alawites are twelvers and are closely aligned with Shias which is what the Persian/Iranians are. In other words, Assad is an ally of Syria so Iran does not want to see Assad fall.

Iran does not want to see Assad fall

That's why they sent their puppet Hezzbollah into Syria to support Assad.

Maybe it’s just me, but isn’t “moderate rebel” an oxymoron?

There are no moderate Syrian rebels. They are as virulently hateful as any jihadi. This is the NWO way of ridding Syria of Assad so that ISIS can take over.

I have said time and again, we want to stay as far away from this conflict as possible. This conflict reminds me of the Spainish civil war of the mid to late 30’s. There were no good guys then and there are no good guys in this conflict for us. We should do everything we can to drive ISIS out of Iraq. If they stayed bottled up in Syria then we will have done our job. The only ones we should consider intervening in Syria for is if ISIS starts attacking the Kurds in Kobani or Raqqa again. Help to defend them because they are our allies. No one else can be trusted.

The bombers being given were mentioned a few minutes ago on Shep Smith’s program by Katherine Herridge as she mentioned the deal with Turkey to train rebels. It was noted, but not the headline.

US Embassy: Turkey and US Sign Deal to Train and Arm Syrian Rebels
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3259255/posts

Shep’s response: And we know those will be turned against us.

(paraphrased) After Katherine left, Shep went on to give a history lesson of how we trained Iraqi’s, and the result.

If I were running the show I would be quietly talking to Assad about what he is willing to do to save his country. One firm demand of mine would be that Hezbollah needs to be gone from Syria.

one other thing, any American found to be in Syria or Iraq and they are not on offical government business should get their passport revoked. They’re not allowed back. Any European found over there goes on our watch list and is not allowed into the U.S. Any do-gooder over there who is an American better get to an Embassay or Consulate right now, somehow prove you are over there for humanitarian reasons and get cleared to be there or come home. It’s time we start protecting the homeland. That’s the main job of the Federal Government, national security....
