BOSTON, MA -- A federal agency says Walmart discriminated against a lesbian employee who sought health coverage for her ailing wife and has ordered "a just resolution" for violating her civil rights.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ordered the retail giant to work with Jacqueline Cote of New Bedford, Massachusetts, who hopes the determination will help her pay off $100,000 in medical bills.

In a Jan. 29 EEOC ruling, obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press, the agency said Cote "was treated differently and denied benefits because of her sex."

It was not because of the lesbianism. It was because of their obesity.

>> the only threads with more excitement than WM/Costco/Target are Catholic/Protestant/Fundamentalist <<

Megadittos to that! You've made a very astute observation. The WM bashers on FR can't hold a candle to those around here who love to bash some religion other than their own.

Or as Rodney King supposedly said, "Caint we all just get along?"

“Do we let them die in an alley because they never worked?”

Oh no, I’m not saying that. It just starts the discussion when someone says that you don’t deserve SS because you are well off. Do we start means testing?

If we don’t have means testing for food stamps or Section 8, we shouldn’t have it for SS.

her ailing wife

Women don't have wives. Men don't have husbands. Sodomy is not marriage. Big Media lies.

Feds say Walmart was biased against lesbians

Are we talking regular lesbians or "lipstick lesbians"?

yes but you have to admit your generation is responsible for voting in this mess

but like I said, the media back then only gave one side of the story.

Your generation is also responsible for the growth of alternative news sources BECAUSE of that

unless the judge is claiming that lesbian is an entirely new gender from woman

You realize this is not even unlikely any more. They just make it up as they go along.

So now it is my “civil right” to demand that another party give money to a third party?

WTF...

NO, boomers did not. At least, none of us that I know did. It’s the X’rs and Y’s that are convinced every lifestyle is equal, everyones’ values are equally legit, and every misfit, degenerate, and freakazoid must be included. Our society looks more and more like the cast of a Fellini film.

who created social security? Medicaid and Medicare? The “war on poverty” etc etc?
Not the Gen X’ers... it was all there before they arrived

SS? 1936. My grandparent’s generation. Medicare? 1965. I was old enough to be shot at but still two years away from voting. War on poverty? Same year. Sorry, hate to be blaming the Greatest Generation but those things are on them.
